I've been doing a bit of research on bumpers that will accept a winch and also provide some protection for my 2012 DCSB. At this point I am wavering between the All-pro APEX and the Trail Gear Rock Defense. The APEX looks pretty sweet but is a little more pricey. The TG bumper doesn't look bad but I'm a little worried about quality. Anybody running either of these bumpers that could give me some advice? Trail Gear Rock Defense

I just bought the trail gear recently and it came to the house yesterday. My initial thoughts were it seems like pretty good overall quality to me especially for the price. My truck is currently in the shop and they are putting the bumper on (hit a deer) so that's all I have for now.

I have the AP APEX and love it to death. rock solid and dependable. I've clipped a couple rocks and used the winch multiple times and it's never budged. the AP customer service team is also very willing to work with you and are a great group. Just my .02

That bumper does look pretty badass. are you running the stock skid plate or did you have to replace that as well?

Don't have a skid plate at the moment. Need to get rid of the diff drop first...It will have one eventually but I don't have time for that stuff during the hunting season :anonymous:

He might be able to ship using a different company. He uses Fastenal cause they'll ship heavy items like bumpers and sliders for cheap, but there are a few states that Fastenal won't ship to. I'm in that boat too cause Fastenal will ship to Nevada but not to Las Vegas so I pm'd him with my zip code to see what he can do. If not then I may have him ship it to a friends house in Phoenix and pick it up one weekend.

I'd love to get in on that. Great price! We'll see what he says

Yeah. I've been saving for a bumper so I can get one around the Jan or Feb time frame but if the wife says it's a go then I'll be putting my name on the list tonight.

I went for it. He can only ship to Cheyenne, WY but that isn't too far from me and he took $25 off the shipping cost. Super excited but now I have to wait 9 weeks... :goingcrazy:

You cannot run the stock skid plate with the All-Pro APEX plate bumper. You need an aftermarket skid or just go without a skid. I would not go without a skid.

This is the SOS Concepts front bumper. It works with the stock skid plate
