I bought a used 2006 super white tacoma from the dealer not long ago. I notices the front bumper and fender flares are not the same texture as the rest of the truck. They almost have a matte look to them. Is it supposed to be like this?

HAHAHA that's the second time someone's called me that in a week! WTF?

And they are color matched. It's just that they are not as shiny as the paint on say....the hood. It's like on the bottom side of the door and rocker panels on some vehicles. Like it has a paint with flex in it.

im not quite that far out...but still in the northeast as well...

i can prob swing by or meet up with you somewhere tomorrow if you want another set of eyes to look at it...

the earlier trucks (and i think new trucks) had an orange peel effect along the rocker panels to protect from dings in the paint but that shouldnt be on your bumper/flares

That's exactly what it looks like. I Know it's been repainted (the bumper) as most dealers repaint almost all the bumpers to make them look better. Maybe they just did a crappy job. It's up to you as to whether we meet or not. It's not a HUGE deal, just something that was on my mind. I'm probably going downtown tonight at some point, don't know what your plans are.

HAHAHA You know how those elderly can get! Throwing their walkers and all. :) I actually know a guy in Cola that runs a few bingo places. Those things really bring in the cash believe it or not.
