so now I've a steel bumper, and I have yet to install the 700# springs onto my 6112 Billy's. I'm currently on the 4th ring with 600# springs. Should I place the 700# springs on the 3rd notch, or place it back in 4th notch also?? What are your setups with bumpers?? What are the pros and cons?? Thanks Bros of the !!!

Couple pics of my Steel Bumper. I really like how it doesn’t extend much past the grill. 266BCF76-1D69-44B4-8FBB-098802D2A089.jpg467E2B62-8164-46ED-BB9B-D7D53425BF71.jpg

So how did you set up your springs?? Did you get newer springs 700# and adjust the height??

I have the 700# springs but the strut is on the bottom notch. I wanted to go higher but my spring compressor wouldn’t do it. The rear has 2” blocks and an add a leaf. I did all this before i did the bumper and winch. But I only lost 1/2” of lift after installing the bumper and winch.

Aww OK. I'm thinking of using the 3rd notch with my 700# springs. This way if I get a winch I don't have to move it again? Does this possible set up sound legit??

Sound good to me. That’s what i was planning on doing with mine but my spring compressor wouldn’t cooperate.

Are your 700# springs taller than stock?

I believe they are but not by too much. To be sure, the Bilstein website info for 6112's should show or have that info. If I pulled my shocks out now, it would probably be a bit taller due to ware and tear/sag on the 600# spring.. I could be wrong tho..

I got the same brand Bilstein springs. No need to switch brands if I don't have to. Better fitment, and less hassle in my opinion.

Ok if they are the bilstein springs then they are designed to work with the adjustable shock. It’s ok to use the adjusters.

Thanks! Where did you buy 700# Bilsteins? I checked Wheelers and they only carry the 650#

I went through 4wheelparts. I called and asked for Bilstein upgraded springs. 700# and he was able to give me a description through Billy's website and part #, which I have no clue nor remember what it was, but you can so use fox coils or OME's I think??

Ok, thanks, wasn’t sure if the OME were interchangeable

@08TacoExp How is you ride quality with the 700#? Guessing I got 160# up front so just outside recommended range of the 650# springs and have to decide if to swap the stock for 650# or 700#

I can't really say yet. I was asking at the start of thread what others were running, and or settings were. I'm actually gonna do this hopefully Tuesday, and I'll report back.... I know I currently have the 600# springs on the 4th clip and I feel that roll when turning. I can feel the weight of the bumper...

Let us know how that works out. I just added the winch to my steel bumper but with the current stay in place order have not driven enough to say how it rides with to basic 600# springs
