Has anyone purchased the Grappler bumper for the Tacoma? I am interested in it, but wanted to hear if anyone else has one and if they are happy with it. If so, what did you pay? I'm looking for a lighter bumper that will still be relatively strong. :D

Never heard of that vendor before but you have a 13 and all I see on the website is 05-11 bumpers.

I'm not sure you are on the right website. I didn't see any stipulations on years. It just says Toyota Tacoma Grappler bumper. The Tacoma pictured is probably a 2011-12, but the frame/body is the same through 2014. Here's the link:

I ordered 1 and will be mounting it in the next few days. I'll post pics when it's complete.

Post pictures when you get it! I'm interested in seeing it. It's a nice a bumper but seems a little pricey for what it is. It's basically what I want in a bumper for the most part, just wish it had a center hoop. I could probably have a local fabber add one and maybe add filler plates to the sides with a cut out for some Rigid dually led pod's.

    Says this below it.

Price does not include light. Additional Side Panels and or top hoops are a $100.00 price addition.

I'm honestly not seeing that price in that bumper.

Oops.....my bad, lol. It's a nice bumper but I'm pretty sure I can have a local fabber make on pretty similar to it for a lot cheaper. I too think it's a bit overpriced

I actually emailed the company (Jason) while I was in Afghanistan to get details since I wanted one upon return to the states and I figured it would take a few weeks based on reading other posts on here. The look is simplistic how I wanted it while still looking "beefy". He set me up and when I asked about the factory fog lights he said it didn't have holes for them, but as a thank you to me he threw in aftermarket off road lights and put hinges to mount them to the bumper, all of which for no extra charge! They have my business without a doubt and I truly appreciate how easy they worked with me in afg and my wife back in the states. (Currently in b/w afg and the states at an undisclosed location haha makin the way home). I'll keep u guys posted once it's on. I'm sure you could ask them to modify things slightly with no issue. I took a gamble with the bumper since no one seems to have heard of them (including me until google) and so far they have more than paid off.

I called and spoke to/exhanged emails with one of the employees, maybe jason, I don't recall because it was a while ago. He was willing to move a little on price, but not much. As cool as that bumper is, I thought it was a little expensive for what it was.

^^^^ THIS. But damn is it cool looking, and light enough to not kill your gas mileage. I think he said it weighed like 60 lbs or something like that if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the post . Keep us updated!!

Also found the emails from Jason Lader at LEX. He said he would take off 10% if both the front and rear were bought together. Figured I'd let ya'll know.

Wow, that is not what I expected to see for $1200 after reading this thread.

YUP. I think it'd be a real cool bumper to have if the sides were inclosed, but damn for 1100 bucks, not worth it. All that is is a tubular steel, plate steel, and a dimple die to stamp the skid plate.

Yeah I found it...not a big fan of it. The one the OP is getting is what I want but just not for that price so when I'm ready I'll start inquiring about one with the local fabbers here

Oh I'm not getting it, not unless they come down on price. There is one person who has bought it, and is going to give a review. Maybe if we have a group of people interested in buying the bumper, maybe we could get a deal. Other than that, I don't see them dropping the price more than 10%.
