Bumpstops???

    2 ten inch kicker cvt subs, pioneer deck and alpine 1000 watt class D amp, and flowmaster exhaust, 4 inch camburg lift spindles and my coilover is adjusted to 1" (5inch total) in front and 3" All Pro leafs, KING off road racing reservoir shocks and coil-overs, KR FAB CUSTOM BUMPER with three 9" HELLA 4000 Race LIGHTS , HID headlights with rigid amber LEDs , "KR Fabrication" custom built bumper, sliders and tiregate, Full size spare with matching rim, custom bed bar with two amber off road lights, cb radio, also BHLM (thanks Ray), and debagged
    ay fellas and ladies.... my boy Jon (JDKeller) and I were talking about bump stops and was wondering the difference between Timbern and King/Fox bumpstops... the Timbren from our understanding uses the stock place from the original Bumpstops correct..??? But about the King/Fox ones do u have to do some custom fabing in order it to work..??? and does it work with a "midtravel" setup...??? thanks

    Timbrens are rubber and are bolt-on.

    The Fox & King bumps are pressurized canisters that are adjustable. The hit is softened by a piston moving against the pressurized nitrogen. Fabrication is definitely needed for mounting.

    Light Racing offers a bolt-on solution for a mid-travel setup that work incredibly well but will require you to cut up the stock bumpstop mounts.

    thanks bud... which one would be better for the desert..??? cuz it sounds like the timbren is good for not bottoming out when having a load in the truck..??? correct me if i am wrong...??? and where would the kings mount to if there were any fab done..??

    Get some real bumps and cans Amir. The timbrens are bouncy bc its just a rubber piece with a particular pressure. The fox and king bumps are like a short shock with pressurized nitrogen so it does a much better job of dampening a compression and Im sure the rebound profits as well

    You'll definitely want the air bumps in the desert. You'll remove your stop bumpstops and grind the bumpstop brackets off the frame. Take a flap disc on your angle grinder to smooth the frame itself and you'll have a clear spot to start welding the new bracket. :thumbsup:

    yea kinda was thinking that... cuz the timbrens are cool and all but not for desert IMO... but u dont need a long travel setup to use em right...???

    listen to MJp2. whatever he says goes. LOL. But no you dont need a LT setup to run them. Your gonna have to get custom mounting brackets made and added to the frame for them to work with your setup though.

    i like those.... but does that red bracket come with the setup...???

    They're amazing and I would have kept them but needed the space to clear a secondary bypass shock on my truck.

    this might be a dumn question but will the front bumps damage your LCA... if compressed to much..???

    Less than the stock bumpstops would. Run your truck hard enough and you can break pretty much anything. ;)
