Hey guys so i have 2017 tacoma dcsb with a Toytecs boss 2.5 lift kit & Dakar ome leaf pack/ 275/70/17 ko2s.

I expected this setup to be rougher on the road but its to a point to where it doesnt feel normal and freeway driving can get really bumpy.... Im thinking its either unbalanced tires or maybe the ko2s are just bumpy on road. Anyone have any reccomendations? Or am i an idiot and this is normal?

Your tires are E rated so they have stiffer sidewalls. Throw some weight in the back.

Not sure which trim you have but ORs stock suspension is rated at 550#. The increase in spring rate with no added constant weight will make a ride really stiff. Put a heavier bumper/winch, then it won't be as stiff anymore. The KO2 from experience is a bit stiffer, but not to the point its a bother (I hardly noticed the difference in my old truck when I swapped out the tires to KO2s).

34 psi would be equivalent to stock.
Try 32-34 if you don't haul max weight.

It's a truck and will probably be a bit rough and bouncy. Like others have said, those KO2's are E rated and heavy at 56lbs.

Based on the information in his post how do you know he doesn’t have C rated KO2s? The size?

If you have the E rated KO2's I'd say it's your tires. Those are the tires I have and I get that bouncy ride on parts of the 15 and 5 in SD, Esco and Temecula. I had that same ride with the crappy dealer spacer lift and now (although not as bad) with Icon's front and back.

Most likely because they don't make a C rated 275/70 KO2. Probably that?

I don't think it's so much the weight as it is the E load is just stiffer and makes things feel bumpy.

I have gone back and forth with thoughts on tires for my truck. The E load tires are bigger, beefier and look a lot better. The downside is poor mileage and a bumpier ride. I like the looks of my Cooper ST Maxx. They are way more bumpier than the Nittos I used to have.

Might go back to a C load but the front end on the 3rd Gen trucks really need a mean beefy looking tire to look right.

You did exactly everything to make the ride rougher. You will have to change stuff to soften it up some. Tires would be first.

Hah i wish my truck was “bouncy”, far from it. Stiff and and bumpy. I think adding weight would help. It may just be the stiff side walls. May have have to buy different tires less agressive and sell these

They only make E rated tires in that size, 265 70 17 is the only size I can think of that is available in C rating

Start with some weight in the bed, you can't run an empty bed with the dakars...100-200 lbs
I keep a couple containers of gear in my truck, my survival gear and my truck/recovery gear box...
In the winter I add some salt and it rides really good..
Plus I keep my truck loaded inside with my other gear.
