I was stuck at 308 for awhile but now that ive figured out what to do im 320 and gaining.

Yes, playing with 335s can be annoying but if you stick together in 2s or 3s, you can win.

 

its just that much more satisfying to win

had a match yesterday where I was the only non-334/335 in the game but still got a 2.3 K/D with 20+ kills

but they might as well just rename IB

I just got that Hawksaw cause i was getting tired of getting cut down in close quarters. The fusion works but youve got to charge that bitch.

Im still doing work with a scout rifle called not like the others as well as a fusion that will auto reload and 1000 yard stare that ive been carying since 290.

I switch between rocket and sword for the heavy. The new rocket i have can load 3 tubes but its hard enough getting on the weapon crate before a warlock comes skating in with lightning.


I just started carrying the sniper into the longer maps. I bagged a triple with first blood yesterday. Man that felt good.

 

Been doing nothing but playing Trials, Crucible, and IB.

By far my favorite Trials Scout Rifle




And the stability on this Longbow is unreal. Makes headshots a snap.

 

Go with the Mida Multi Tool. It's the only scout that can keep up with mine.

 

Goofing around on one of our last matches. Decided to pull out the Grasp of Malok. Not a bad pulse rifle with counterbalance. Everyone ran inside so I figured I'd bait them on the outside. Oh and this was before I got the god roll on the Longbow. The one I was using had shitty perks and no stability.

 

I was looking at that multi tool but all articles said that Hawksaw is legit. Im still building weapons at this point. I prefer scout rifles mostly but in CQB, it can be hard if someone slides with a shotty or has a auto and just starts to spray

Ive been in many medium to long range battles and i typically win cause this one gets more precise as my health drops.

When all else fails, watch for the stick. Ive got a magical arm with grenades.

Here is what I have so far. I realize im far from setup but i make do with only playing Iron Banana for a week and thats it for crucible

 

Hawksaw is a must buy from the vendor

 

Played Challenge if Elders yesterday for the 1st time and got hella drops.

Going to infuse the Hawksaw to 324 tonight as well as start putting this to work


Thinking this plus the 1000 yard stare might be a magical combo in Crucible. Just need a good Heavy and thats one set.

Next im thinking Hawksaw and shotty combo. Need a good shotty. I just have that Patch-a now.

 

Fucking Last Word lol... That's the bane of my existence in the crucible. I would HIGHLY suggest playing with it for a while in PvE before taking it into PvP so you can get used to aiming it. You will get destroyed with it by others that play with it all the time. It takes a while to get used to hip shooting but it is highly effective and probably one of the best PvP weapons if used correctly. It's fine pairing it with a 1000yrd Stare but also a nice shotgun if you have one (IE: Party Crasher+1). Then you will be a beast. TLW is a close range weapon meaning switching to a shotgun when things get really close is a good thing to have in your toolbox.
The thing about the 1000yrd Stare is the aim assist isn't as high as the Longbow or LDR which are arguably the best PvP snipers in the game (assuming good rolls and scopes). 1000yrd Stare falls into the middle of the pack when it comes to aim assist or AA. AA is best translated into reticle slowdown and bullet magnetism. So unless you are a god with a sniper you are going to have to find one at the higher end of the AA spectrum and that translates to a Longbow or LDR. I've got 3 Longbows but only one I take into PvP because of the stability of 90 (noted in the picture in my post). It took me forever to get a Longbow so I always used a 1000yrd stare because of the impact. It was just a little harder pulling off the shots you want.

I very rarely break out my Last Word as I enjoy Scout Rifles more. The Inward Lamp I got out of Trials is a god roll for me. Nice stability, full auto, and third eye. It reminds me of the Vision of Confluence out of Vault of Glass the way it fires. The only Scout Rifle that compares with it is the Mida Multi Tool. Then it's pretty much a toss up on who got the first head shot.

You say you have a Hawksaw so infuse that shit up to 335. With the right roll the Hawksaw is a great weapon and I used one for a long time. I still prefer my Grasp of Malok (video above) since it fires faster but the Hawsaw is a gun to be reckoned with.

I'd say 90% of my PvP game is with longer range weapons even used in short range. Hell... during year one I used the IceBreaker as a primary most of the time since it regened ammo lol. Only in very tight maps do I break out a shotgun.

I agree. Since pulse rifles got a boost that's about all anyone uses with the exception of TLW, Multi Tool, or Doctrine of Passing.

I main a hand cannon and plan C
been my go-to ever since they nerfed shotguns and auto rifles

seems nobody uses fusion rifles anymore so a lot of playstyles arent used to coming across someone with one anymore

but everyone uses sniper rifles now and it's pretty annoying how easy it is to get headshots now

 

I also like to go in and try new things and fuck around. Tried to see how many grenade sticks I could get in one game.

15 grenade kills and 13 sticks and still managed a 1.77kd lol

I tried sniping in pvp the other day...didnt work out so well lol
my playstyle's more suited for a rusher/ berserker style so I dont do well with distance precision

I agree with that. Credit that to the Longbow and LDR. That said... I'm just as guilty of doing the headshots. I wish I could use a fusion rifle but I just can't get the timing down. I get owned every time I try to use one lol.

 

its pretty goddamn annoying to have the same guy pick you off from across the map as somehow getting a snapshot headshot from shotgun range

 

Just about as annoying as someone shooting me from across the map with a Universal Remote lol. Goddamn that pisses me off

 

I need a damn fireteam to go through King's Fall Raid with. I am stuck at 40/304 rank and I have absolutely no one to run this game with and solo completely sucks!!!
