thanks for all the comments from everyone.

so im starting to understand more, but one thing I hvnt really done in the game is "raid." what is the point of this? just loot and xp?

also, i thought i finished the wolf quest line but i keep finding random missions about find this person or kill this person and I thought Ive killed the guy the queen is looking for twice now! haha o well. im on the 100 thing, name is "skoot64E" which is also my xbox GT. if anyone is interested in shining some light on the game and playin with me to show me more of the indepth stuff (cuz i feel like im missing bigger parts of the experience, all I do is run mission to mission by myself trying to beat the game). ive played PVP free for all for the first time and really liked it (tryin to get knife kills for a vanguard bounty).

    just say the word

EDIT: thats a ps4 group, im xbox. dang it!

I know. I was just showing you what the page looks like and how "we" do things.

As far as the raid goes... There are (as of now) three raids. Vault of Glass, Crota, and The Taken King. Raids are where you will find the highest level gear / weapons and generally take anywhere from 1-3hrs to complete depending on how good your raid team is. We can burn through The Taken King in about an hour on Hard Mode but we've completed it over 100 times.

VoG was the first raid and is a level 32 raid on Hard Mode. You won't gain anything from VoG or Crota but VoG is a fun (and probably my favorite) raid and should be played. Crota sucks ass. The Taken King is where you will find your high level armor / weapons to take you to 335. This of course is not the only way to get to 335 but I checked on the Bungie stats and less than 10% of the player base have actually completed The Taken King raid so if you like the ultimate PVE challenge then the raid is it. The Taken King is a extremely fast paced raid where things must be done in a certain amount of time or the entire team wipes. Fun if you have a good group. Not fun if you don't.

It can be yes. But... That depends on the people playing with you for the most part. The Taken King came out on a Fri and we made it to Oryx Monday night. Probably spent 6-8 hours figuring out how to do each encounter and died a lot. But that is part of the learning process and no one gets beat up for making a mistake. We beat Oryx on raid reset. Hard Mode came out and although a little harder it wasn't that much different. CM came out and honestly I think the WP CM is the hardest one of the bunch. We're doing Golgoroth tonight and dropping our alts in for the checkpoint. We'll have it done in less than an hour on all three characters. Golgoroth fight is literally about 5 mins long (and that's everyone holding his gaze).

We sherpa at least one raid run a week for new people. That way everyone that want's too experience that part of the game can.

The only place that I haven't been in Destiny is The Lighthouse. We made it to the 6th round last week but made two stupid mistakes and cost us the match and killed our chances of moving forward.

Trials is the shit man. I love playing trials (although my K/D usually takes a dip lol). I love how each team you face has a different strategy so you never know what's coming. It's like a chess match and stressful as hell but I love it.

Eh... Part of the fun. I will say one thing... Some of those people can snipe like a motherfucker lol. I've learned to just take it one game at a time and not worry about the grand scheme of things. We have a good team and we will get there. It's just going to take time and a little bit of luck.

We play crucible almost every night. What I have found is it really depends on where you place yourself on the map and how "you" pace the game. Sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it doesn't. I tend to not rush into the first big fight of the round in regular crucible since it's usually a toss up on who is going to win. I'll figure out what the other team has planned then play accordingly.

Prime example. I know everyone is going to rush center so I move outside and flank everyone. Bait them to come to me. I watch my radar more than I watch the screen.

@Skootter14 Here is a video taken from tonight's Challenge Mode in the raid. I won't even begin to try to explain what we are doing here. Simple process but very long to explain. Took us a couple mins longer than usual since we dropped in with our alts and some didn't have supers for the first round. Golgoroth is the fourth encounter (second boss) in the raid (not counting the ship jump puzzle). Each week Challenge Mode switches from one boss fight to the next.

Sorry the audio is only from my end since I was on my PS4 at work with no way to record the audio from the other members of the team. But we are all talking throughout the encounter. While doing the encounter we "generally" keep the task at hand called out by each member so we don't clog the audio.

IIRC Golgoroth has around 30 million hit points.

Solid run last night with big drops from the CoE. We took care if the sigil in 3. Variks had 3 nice rewards for me as well as the what i got in exotics and legendary from drops. Im about ti hit 328 with consistant drops of 330+ (finally)

We were on such a roll as a team we decided to go for the black spindle and nailed it with 2 min to spare on the boss.
The two Titans and one hunter combo just obliterated everything.

We burned everything down with swords for the Black Spindle. Took us a few runs to figure out to kill the blights at the end to keep the adds from spawning.
