As long as you get some good people in there that don't rage then you'll be fine. Just remember to have fun. We fuck up every once in awhile but still have a good time doing it.

Hmm... Let me see if I can talk you through it. It is very easy to do. Probably the easiest CM of all the bosses (even though Oryx isn't very hard).

I'll post the video again below so you can watch it but this is what we do and it works very well.

    1. Enter the room and either wait for supers to build or start the fight.

    2. Split into 2 teams of three to stand on both sides at the front of the room.

    3. Here is the CM. Each member of the team has to hold his gaze once per rotation unlike HM (or RM) where just one person can tank him. Assign each member with a number 1-6. We always take down the orb on the right front (R1) and damage and tank him there. Even numbers will always be on right front and odd numbers will always be in the back diagonally from where R1 is standing on the platform that the Adept stands on. Once the add phase is over run down to the end of the corridor and pick up any ammo that drops. The person assigned to number 1 stays at the end of the left corridor and number 2 (me in the video) gets Golgoroths attention. #1 snipes him in the back to get his gaze. Everyone else takes down R1 orb and jumps in. #2 takes the gaze from #1 and you have 18 secs to do damage to him. Someone will get the bomb so they can either run directly up to Golgoroth and let it explode or jump out of the pit. If you watch the video I call out starting from 13 secs to 10 secs. At 10 secs #3 runs to the back left and at 1 sec takes the gaze. Everyone gets into position and we just ping pong him back and forth until it gets to #6. #6 has two options. He can just sit and tank him for 18 secs or he can run around the room and let the orbs chase him. Either way works. After the 18 secs is up the gaze is failed to be captured and the second round starts. Same thing each time. Numbers never change and just ping pong him back and forth. #2 has the hardest job since he is actually tanking for 18 secs and calling out time.

    4. If one person dies it is a wipe and you will not get the CM. So if one person dies then just wipe. The only exception is if a WL revives after he has had the gaze. You can not complete the CM with less than 6 members unless you think you can get him down on the final round.

Here is the video once again of us ping ponging him back and forth. Each person should only have to hold his gaze for around 5 secs not counting #2 and #6 (which won't have to tank if he runs around the room)

*EDIT* After you hold his gaze you are free to move anywhere around the room to kill shit and pick up ammo. Be sure to kill the Thrall in the middle while ping ponging him back and forth. Once #6 has his gaze and is running around the room get back in position to kill adds in the hallway after the gaze is failed to be captured after #6 finishes his run.

*EDIT* #2. It's best to have a Titan pop a Weapons of light bubble at the top just before jumping in the pit and have a hunter tether Golgoroth each round. Supers should build up fast due to the large amount of adds to kill.

Anyone that signs up for your raid you can look at how many completions they have on each character and if they have in fact completed it or not. If they have only done it once or maybe a few times don't invite them. Simple as that. If you specifically place a game for experienced players only don't let them in. That is why we do at least one Sherpa run a week for the people that haven't completed it but would like too.

Click on my checklist tab at the top. You will see between all my characters I've "completed" TTK well over 100 times. And that doesn't take into account for weeks like this one where we just run up to the CM and stop. No reason to go any further unless CM is Oryx (which it will be next week).

Last Character on the right is my main PvP Character so I "generally" keep that character setup for PvP (or Trials as it may be).

Until this point ive had no reason to not trust it. I knew on the 1st challenge we were fucked.

I did however make it though the ships 1st try. That was a 1st for me and it felt good.

Lol hell I still fall off the ships from time to time. Actually we try to push each other off. How we ever get anything done in the raid is beyond me? If they ever turn on friendly fire we're fucked. We'd never make it out of the starting area.

Speaking of friendly fire... Our group has already set up PvP tournaments for 1v1, 6v6, and 6v6 using only VoG weapons and armor for one team and Crota weapons and armor for the other.

Kings fall is the worst raid in destiny by far. So glad they are doing it differently with wrath of the machine.

Why so? I would argue that Crota is. Especially since I soloed it before the patch and we could do it in less than 30 after the patch.

Because it's too dependent on everyone together. *I know, isn't that what a raid is for?*

Imo, it made looking for raid teams like Jonny is doing extremely difficult because it made the standard go waaaaay higher for raid teams due to the amount of pressure it creates with every guardian needing to perform flawlessly.

House of wolves, VoG, and Crota all required competent fire teams but if someone went down, someone else could compensate and essentially get through the raid.

Not everyone plays with the same fire team every time they do the raid.
You are obviously someone who does, and plays it at a level that less than 1% of guardians do. That's what makes Kings Fall shit, it's for 1% people, and they are changing that for wrath of the machine which I am extremely grateful. And I am a top 1% player in PVE and PVP.

No I understand and I can empathize. The first time through VoG was miserable for me. But like I've said the100 changed all that for me. After joining that and meeting new friends, we had the raid complete the second week it was out. I really don't want the raid to be any easier at all mostly because it is for the 1%. I like being able to do something in the game that most either choose not to do or are not good enough at the game to do. All the MMO's that I have ever played have been exactly the same way. They are hard and you have to play with players that know what to do and how to handle the pressure of everyone relying on your ability to do the things that you are called to do.
If they make it easy then everyone will have raid armor / weapons and it's not (IMO) supposed to be that way. The raid "mechanics" of TTK are solid and I "personally" like it that way.
