Come to think of it... It's kind of like saying that getting to the Lighthouse should be easier. It's not easy. I've never been and I'm solid in PvP. Luck just hasn't been on our side. But I'm not complaining at all because one day I will go. It's the one place in the game that I haven't been but I wouldn't change how to get there by "levelizing" PvP because I "personally" can't get there.

 

It's not the raid being easy as much as it is being about the mechanics. No one wants to play the raid of one person fucks up and you have to wipe, the nostalgia of having another player make a great play to save the raid and keep going doesn't exist with kings fall

 

We've completed it with less than 6 many times

I agree, too much stand in plate and not enough killing to get through.

As for the Tower, you can pay to be brought there. I watched a video were these guys took nearly 4 hours to carry a 7 year old there.

We have 3s, but right now we arent ready for all that. Need to build up the gear before that happens and then we need to polish our skills. I dont know all the maps at all.

I think now that ive got the spindle leveled up all i need is it to be 335 along with the other go to weapons that are used by the guys consistently making it. Been working on my snap and snipes as well as hip shooting the last word. My hawksaw and hung jury are pretty on point though.

Ugh... I'm stuck at work on OT 48hrs straight. Was 5 games into our match and we were kicking ass. Then... got a run in the middle of it. Just now got back. Think I got all the bounties done but we were on a roll. Oh well.

Yeah man... The last word and snipers seem to be the go too weapons in Trials. "Usually" the way teams are set up is with one sniper and two rushers with shotguns. Once one person goes down on either side you either rush or get rushed. That is the way almost every trials match plays out. I absolutely suck with The last word so the Hawksaw is my go too primary with the Longbow as my back up. I'm much better at sniping than rushing someone that is competent with the last word. Basically I've got no counter for a good mid range game. Someone with the last word will wear me out at mid range so I've either got to snipe them, stick them, or try to keep some distance away from them. I've got two Warlocks and one Titan but I generally play the warlock in PvP. So with that I run Radiance and fusion grenades. I love sticking people and the revives are clutch. But honestly if you've got a Hunter I would highly recommend bringing that in Trials. Hunters are so good with all the utility options they have at their disposal. I've watched a bladedancer take out an entire team with one super more times than I care.

Titan is fun to play. I wish I played mine more often honestly. I started a Hunter and leveled him to 26 back in the early days but, at the time, I couldn't stand the jump. I just hated it. So I scrapped it and leveled another WL which I much preferred. Looking back I wish I would have gave the Hunter a better shot than I did but now I have so much time invested in both WL's that I can't bring myself to delete one. It's given me a easy platform to level 2 characters since I could take multiple pieces of Raid or PvP gear and throw it on the other WL and build the stats of each character the way I wanted. But in a way that's kind of cheating the system I suppose. Instead of running the Raid, Trials, or IB 3 different times I could have 2 leveled WL's ready to go and only have to do a run only once. Over time this allowed me easy access to create the characters I wanted with half the effort.
Unfortunately... the WL really doesn't bring much utility to the table in the game (PvE or PvP). The only real benefit a WL brings is the ability to self revive which keeps the Raid moving during difficult parts. PvP... Meh... Radiance is handy if used at the correct time in Trials but other than that the WL is mediocre at best. Voidwalker is a one and done super and if timed right can be destructive but very seldom do the planets align to allow that. Stormtrance "can" be effective but it "seems" pretty easy to get shot (or shoot someone) out of. Hunters though... Goddamn the utility they bring. I'm actually jealous of them.

 

There us a guy that does 1v3s on YouTube. He runs that combo but also has one of the autos with 100 fire rate and good range. I forgot the name but it had a big yellow sun on it.

He moves to isolate players and using shade step and smoke to get the hell out if he is getting surrounded. Even he said a titan smash is the hardest to counter. I have no backups plans and both the universal remote & conspiracy theory but havent used them in crucible. I also have the eternal warrior and the saint 14. Im just now dumping all points into defender because its the only one i havent finished.

We will start running 3s when we get everyone to 335 and with an aresonal they are comfortable with and see how we do. I dont ever expect to go to the lighthouse unless i can get my buddy over from halo. He is a pro and im sure he would be a beast at destiny.

 

Doctrine of Passing is the auto rifle. If you can get the adept version (the regular version is no slouch) with life support on it then it's pretty amazing. I keep getting the scout rifle and gauntlets.

Fist of Havoc (or Fist of Panic as I like to refer to it) on a Titan is devastating. It will kill everyone around. But it's a one and done super and only so often gets more than one kill since if you see yourself going to die you will pop it in a panic and take out the one that is trying to kill you. Much like the Nova Bomb for the WL. It's good if you can get them lined up but much like The Fist of Havoc you will panic and use it for a single kill instead of holding on too it. That's one of my biggest problems in Crucible. Having the restraint to hold on to the super and take a few kills until you get them lined up like you want them.

I always send a good game message if someone is able to overcome 2 of their teammates dying and manage to take us out. That takes skill and understanding the class, maps, and what you think the other team is going to do. We were down all three in one match last night and at the last possible moment I popped radiance and stuck all three while they were celebrating around our dead bodies lol. That was fun. You know they were like "FUCK!!!!".

 

Made it to Oryx on hard and said fuck it. It wasnt happening and I just didnt want to pour any more time into that fight.

Perhaps ill try again once Rise of Iron refreshes everything. I turned my sights to special weapons

Made some progress in the defender class titan as well as getting more drops in the 333 range bringing me to a 331 avg.

 

331 Nice! You're getting on up there. Next week should be the WP challenge (if you're not willing to finish out this week) so you "should" be almost guaranteed at least one 335 drop since you are within 5 points from 335. Honestly I think the WP challenge is the hardest of all to do as you really need to get him down in 2 rounds since the third round is a bitch. We've made it through on the third round so it's not impossible but just much harder.

*EDIT* Did you get all the fragments out of the raid? If not you'll have to do the raid to get them otherwise you won't get the ToM.

 

We don't have anymore TTK raids scheduled since we have everything we can get out of it. I've got a vault full of 335 stuff to infuse into new weapons / armor so I'm covered if I pick up anything I'd like to infuse. It's just crucible and throwback raids until the expansion comes out now. Wish you guys were on PS4. We'd get you through the raid in a heartbeat and it would give me a reason to do it.
