Yea. It's pretty bad. I'm against the RNG accuracy, but I'm partial on bloom. I hate it at times, but it makes more sense in a game like Destiny since the weapons aren't as stable at the weapons in Halo.

    That's been a thing for about 4
Months when Triplewreck first did a video about it. Don't know why people are now catching on after his second video. I guess his second one was a little more eye opening. The inconsistency in HC since year 2 is why I don't use them and it's all I use to use. What caught me off guard is he did it with a Scout and shotgun as well. It's got to be fixed. Bloom is one thing (just pace shots so the bloom cone resets and get kills), but this RNG bullet is completely different!

All I use is TLW so some games I can easily 35+ kills a game, and then the next game I'll get 15 kills. I really expect patch before Rise of Iron, or at least a week after it. Crucible could become far more bearable if that gets fixed.

With all the new weapons that are soon to come who knows what the next meta will be. Trials will be much different now that sniping is a bit harder. So I look for a lot of midrange / shotgun battles but we'll have to wait and see. There will be new "god roll" weapons that we don't even know about as of now. Hell... TLW may be shit compared to the new weapons that are coming out. I've got so many exotic engrams waiting to be opened on the first day and I'm curious as to what will be in those packages. If nothing else they should be at least a little bit higher light level. Our goal is to start the raid as soon as it drops and continue as far as we can as we learn the mechanics. Our clan refuses to look at youtube to get any pointers or spoilers. We'd rather figure it out on our own. That's what we did on TTK and we made it to Oryx the first weekend. Finished the raid after reset on the Wed. after it dropped.

Meta probably won't change much. Year 1 it was Felwinters/Thorn and some TLW. Year 2 has been just the addition of the "passive" meta (ex. pulse rifles, scout rifles, snipers...). It's a bit more diverse then Year 1, but handcannons/shotguns were still prominent. I'm just hoping Thorn doesn't become the powerhouse of a weapon is was in Year 1. Also highly doubt that TLW would be terrible. It may be inconsistent, but it's not hot garbage.

Exotic Engrams are nice, but I'd focus more on heavy ammo synth since when the raid drop you're going to want to be as high as a level as you can get. I have 3500 heavy ammo synth just waiting for New Monarchy right before the raid drops. I think leveling up 35 time should hopefully get me something decent. I'll give you kudos for going in blind. I attempted World's First when King's Fall came out with Redeem and we were able to get 8th. No stream sniping on Twitch or anything. We struggled at Golgoroth, but we did fine after that. Going into Wrath of the Machine with a The Legend Himself clan this time so this should be interesting. Hoping to do better then last time, but we have yet to see what we're going to face.

Yea wouldn't pop engrams until story and archon forge is done to make sure you get as high light gear as you can before raid.

TLW will always be good, and inconsistent.

Thorn won't be great, it'll be serviceable if all of your teammates are using it, but there's also an artifact to reduce burn. The 25% reduction in range Thursday kind of nailed the coffin in that gun.

New raid is gonna be focused on light level and "collision", gonna be different than previous raids and won't depend so much on everyone else. Should be a good time.

We're not going for world's first. That's just not our thing. But I think the way we look at it is we are there to have fun and learn the mechanics of the raid. We will die a lot but so what? That's part of the fun of learning. I agree with Golgoroth being hardest to figure out a good strategy. We were probably stuck on that for 6 hrs one day just trying different things. Looking back it's kind of funny some of the ways we tried to do that fight lol.

As far as PvP goes. I "tried" Nirwen's mercy hoping I could use it once again since the buff. It's definitely better but still not great. Hawksaw or Grasp of Malok (with a god roll "which I have 2") will still outperform it in a one to one match up. Hell... I even used the Inward Lamp some last night just to play around with something different and had good success with it. It's weird, on paper the Inward Lamp "should" be exactly like the Mida with full auto. But in real life (kind of sounds funny to say about a video game) it's just not as good. So my go to weapons are the Mida and Hawksaw with a Grasp thrown in there every once in awhile. I will say that snipers are still there (I'm one of them on longer maps) but they are not nearly as prevalent as they were.
