Well, now I know who my middle aged nerd friends are on this forum...

 

I had an original Atari 2600 and a Commodore 64

 

You'll get a really cool one during the story mission in RoI that you can change the look of. I've never found a use for them other than they are pretty cool. I see a few people using them in crucible but they are pretty easy to take out as long as you see them coming.

anyone care to explain to me the Archons Forge. I have a bounty pertaining to it but havnt found out where/what it is yet

 

It's a public battle arena in the plaguelands. It's much like the Court of Oryx in that anyone passing by can join in the fight but to actually start the event you will need an offering to place in the terminal.

Siva offerings are dropped randomly off any enemy in the plaguelands (and in Archons Forge itself) and they drop in three different difficulty levels. Green, blue, and purple. Green is easiest and purple is hardest. Don't even try a purple unless you are at the very least close to 360 light "or" there is a bunch of people there with you.

The rewards vary by the challenge level but you should get something even if you don't place the offering. The main difference between Archons Forge and Cout of Oryx is in the Cout of Oryx you could tell which level someone was placing by the statue they presented the rune to. Not the case with Archons Forge. Someone may drop in a purple and you won't know it until the fight starts. Let's put it this way... I've done 3 purples and completed one of them. That said, the first two we were WAY under leveled.

All I need is the helmet to complete the Days of Iron set. One piece away from 358

 

We "might" be ready for the raid tomorrow after all. Come to find out you need to be 360 for the raid. That said... It will most likely be like TTK and as you progress through the bosses the light level required will grow higher. But if we get the first (or maybe even the second) boss down then that should put us close to 375-380 with drops. Plus it "should" start the raid exotic questline. I've got every exotic but the new Thorn and the Raid Exotic.

 

I screwed with the mountain for a few minutes but too many people where on it making it even more difficult

 

It's a pain in the ass. Once you figure it out and do it a few times you can get up it in a couple mins with no problem. It's just figuring out where to jump. I highly recommend you max out your agility and if you have a weapon (like the Mida that gives you + agility) I would recommend equipping that also. It makes it so much easier. You DO NOT have to double tap on the jump button. Just single jump all the way up.

 

It seems like a laundry list of stuff to complete before you can use the Ghorn. I need to look up where to begin. I've got a Hunter315, Warlock244, Titan286. I'm screwed right now with the Warlock in trying to find better gear for him. I couldn't use the Spark on the Warlock because he was already level 40. Had to use it on the Titan. I wish I had started with a Warlock instead of a Hunter back in year one.

I can set the titan up for agility and I need to get over hitting the jump twice. Its definitely the reason why I fell a few times.

 

That's why I fell also. Until I figured out that I just needed to single jump. A couple of jumps are pretty hard to do the first few times but once you do them you'll be a pro.

 

I used to be able to jump from bottom yellow to top without the lift on Halo Guardian among other trick jumps, ill get it.

I even did that radio tower climb in borderlands easily. I watched my buddy try it for 2 hours before he got it.

 

So I started off the day at 357 and now I'm 363. If you want to level up quickly run SIVA Strikes. We ran 5 and I leveled up that much. I was getting blues that were 5-6 light levels above my current items. I'm raid ready now

 

We couldn't beat the boss of a siva strike last night at 340. That damn ogre enrages and you cant tether the boss. He just warps out.

 

I love that strike. We did it twice today. The key is to get someone to hold the ogres attention around a pillar while the other two take care of adds and the boss. 340 is pretty low for that strike though.

*EDIT* The ogre doesn't take any damage and you can't kill him. The object is to keep him away from the other two. You just have to kite him between the two pillars when the boss ports.

 

Picked up 2 of these along the way. Hit's harder than the Black Spindle and is a legendary so it doesn't take up an exotic slot. Has high aim assist on it also so I'll be using this in Trials.



And speaking of trials... Full auto Hawksaw with almost max stability. This motherfucker is a beast.
