Yeah, I would assume the new legendary armor would start out at light level 29 (instead of 27 like now) and allow you to level to 30 - 31. The legendary armor is very easy to get IMO. Just save up the vanguard marks and you can get 1-2 pieces each week not including the random legendary drop. I had a full set of legendary warlock armor sitting in my vault so I created a second warlock just because. I've got 2 maxed out warlocks (not counting raid armor) and one maxed out titan so the armor is easy to get. Run all the strikes you can and crucible and you'll be outfitted in less than 2 weeks.

 

Hmm so I need to create 2 more characters. I've only got one Hunter.

 

The rational for having more than one character is to help your other characters get the gear they need. My second warlock is nearly vanguard rank 2 but already has the rank 3 weapons because my other characters are rank 3 or higher. As of right now I've got 200 vanguard marks on each character and a ungodly amount of strange coins, motes of light, shards, etc. Ive got nothing to spend them on until next week. Everything is maxed out with the exception of my machine gun on the second warlock.

If they "raid lock" me with the new expansion I'm done. I just don't see that happening.

 

I only have 2 and wont be making another. and you need to be higher than 20, really need to be 28 at least to be able to run nightfall/weekly on hard to make the most of them. And it makes tiger strikes easier. But i dont run those on 2 characters, i use one since i have a stash of coins already.

 

OK so I need to create two more Hunters then? Having 3 total would boost my odds correct? Theoretically...
That means the Warlock Helmet I have is useless except for materials

Also I can't see the "raid lock" happening either. That would suck.

 

Not unless you want too. The only reason I made a second warlock was because I had a full set of armor in the vault. Same thing with the titan. I haven't had much hunter stuff drop and I "personally" hate how the hunter plays so I deleted it.

 

Imo i wouldnt make 2 more hunters. Id only make 1 at most if you just want to have 1 for each subclass specifically. Id make another character, as i have a warlock and titan.

My thought is if i have to make the same class in order to get raid armor then the game is broken/needs to be fixed.

 

That makes sense. I'm cool with the Hunter but I haven't played with anybody else so I don't know any different.

Gotcha. I'll just make a Titan and Warlock. I'm assuming the game was intended to be played that way. At least that way I can utilize all drops.

 

Both titan and warlock are fun classes so if you enjoyed the hunter i bet youll enjoy those. Havent met anyone who dislikes warlock yet

No it doesn't. Just make whichever you prefer the looks of

 

Warlock (to me) is the funniest class with the titan coming in a close second. I played the hunter up too 26 but hated it. I can't stand the hunter jump and it just wasn't fun to me. That's just my opinion though. I've got plenty of friends that love playing that class.

 

I'm going to try to create a Warlock this evening. Looking forward to it. Maybe it wont take me as long to level him up as it did my Hunter. Then I'll create a Titan.

 

just make sure you hold on to the stranger's rifle that thing chops up. I think it requires level 16

 

Will do. I use it with my hunter. I like the scout rifle I have as well.

 

If youre still that low level i would say get it up to 28 at least before making another character

 

If you don't have the app already jump on it. They just made a shit load of changes to exotic weapons, exotic shards, changes to upgrading, as well as XUR all in prep for darkness down below.

It basically going to be a whole new game. God damn i need more strange coin.
