Bungie's Destiny

Oryx is not a mission. It's the last boss in TTK raid. And "some" of the weapons are okay that drop out of it. The sniper is still good with the high aim assist. ToM isn't needed anymore if you have the Chaos Dogma with the Triple Double perk. Plus Blessings of light no longer works with ToM so you have to change your strat. accordingly.

As far as forgiving goes... Just wait until you do HM Challenge on Aksis. If you think Oryx was hard you are going to fucking HATE Aksis. The Challenge isn't that hard but getting people in place and slamming at the right time is un-fucking-forgiving. You have "maybe" 3-4 secs. to get it all done.

Oryx was a cakewalk compared to Aksis HM Challenge

 

I wouldn't waste my time getting the ToM unless you just really want it. It is useless now. Cool weapon no doubt but there is no use for it in the game at all compared to all the other weapons out there. You never run out of ammo but when you get to the last shot the weapon does damage to you. If you watch the video that I posted earlier you'll see that I leave the weapon on one round but also watch my health go down each time it shoots. Does massive damage but at an expense to your health.

 

Its only worth it for HM daughters and Oryx IMHO.
Mostly the daughters cause they bounce around too much to keep getting crits with the spindle.

 

Yeah, but at 400 pretty much any primary is going to take the Daughters down. And since Blessings of Light doesn't work with it anymore that pretty much makes it obsolete for Oryx.

 

None of that sounds like any fun lmfao I'm not a fan that they made part of the game a strategic side that you have to know what your doing I enjoy going into missions and raids and them saying you kill this shit and that's all you cared about not do this then that then this then kill shit then this then you win kinda sucks I just enjoy running around with no real meaning killing shit but need to give Aksis a shot when I get higher light level because the perks are amazing

I did get it to work rather well even while killing ogres on HM. I just popped the bubble for blessings and as i passed through it my health came back with overshield.

OK I just made my own day. So I go into my destiny app and am looking around at dumb shit low and behold I have the Mida and for some reason locked it away in my vault lmfao now I'm stoaked

 

If you don't think that sounds like fun then you bought the wrong game my friend sorry to say. Destiny is a Pseudo-MMO. What that means is this game is all about grouping up with other friends, running strikes (boring as fuck to me), PvP, and Raiding. If all you want to do is run around killing shit then this game will get old very fast. Destiny is a lot deeper than you give it credit and you've barely even scratched the surface. It's all about getting that god roll weapon, maxing out your stats to tier 11 or better, and getting loot by raiding and PvP. Raiding is fun because it IS hard. If it wasn't hard then everyone would just burn through the content and be bored. It's all about the accomplishment of doing something in game that less than 5% of the Destiny population does. Having shit that no one else has and creating your character the way "you" want it created. Running around just shooting shit with no strategy is boring.

After the Blessings nerf or before? After the blessings nerf as soon as you shot the ToM it automatically took the overshield away and started eating your health immediately as if you never had blessings on at all. So I doubt seriously that you used the ToM killing Ogres after the nerf on level. The video I posted was before the nerf. I never took off the ToM even when shooting outside the bubble and you can see my health drop often but killing 3 adds quickly brought it back up. So it was a balancing act using that weapon.

 

I didnt beat it until after the nerf. We would pop blessings & weapons. Since I was a Titan I was on orgre duty. I would use the ToM to kill the 1st ogre and pass through and get my health back. Use it on the second, lose my health and use a snipe on the 3rd and as i passed back through used it again on the 4th. By then the we had the bubble and I cpuld just keep using when oryx opened his chest.

I only beat HM once, thats exactly how i did it. At least my portion.

 

Yeah, that's pretty much how we did it after the nerf. ToM, Snipe, ToM, Snipe.

 

We'll jo I love the game I just don't like the fact of wotm that no one really knows how the he'll to do it unless you look shit up. That's what I don't like the fact that it's like good luck figuring it out fuck you. I love getting on with friends and running raids and running the strikes and just fucking shit up in general the fact that I truly have to look up how to do certain things and then still getting it wrong frustrates me that's all. And the fact that I don't fully understand the game still and I've been playing since it came out kinda pissed me off too

 

Then you and I are complete opposites. We go into the raids blind and figure them out ourselves. We figured out WotM without looking anything up. Same with TTK. TTK took us about 4 nights to complete the raid the first time. WotM took us two nights so it's not impossible. That is part of the fun of this game... figuring shit out. If it was easy it wouldn't be fun simple as that. And you've been playing since launch or The Rise of Iron? If you've been playing since launch and still don't know any of the acronyms, didn't know that Raids took 6 people, and just now figured out you have a Mida makes it seem if you haven't played much? Don't take me wrong brother, I'm bagging on ya but if you've been playing since launch you should seemingly have the basics down?

 

On a side note... I picked up Titanfall 2 the other day and it is fucking amazing. I bought a Xbox 1 just for Titanfall and it absolutely sucked ass. I didn't even know that it was being released for the PS4 until the other day and it got great reviews and all the issues of the first one were gone. Well they nailed this one. Multiplayer is a fuckload of fun. And it's one of the first games to run in full 4k so I can take advantage of the PS4 Pro at 4k resolution. Highly recommend on either platform.

 

Yea I think what was pissing me off is the fact that I was doing it with a couple of idiot. Not enough people and too low of level to do anything. It was horrible. I haven't been back to wotm since because that pissed me off so much. I do know the basics but never really pay attention to names. I just started figuring out the names of my guns cuz you guys are always talking about them. For some reason my vault had my Mida not even sure why it was in there. And I don't play with many people me and my buddy go at shit alone constantly. We fuck shit up but always seems like it's alot of work. I don't have many friends that play destiny let alone play xbox. Shit I don't have any friends but my one buddy lmfao. So I go around now and just invite random to play with to try and find cool people to play with that know a little about the game. But truly I just started taking this game a little more serious and actually paying attention to shit and reading shit before I just ran around and figured out what was what and how it worked

It's made the game so much more enjoyable to me and I've met some really good people on there and we've been playing together for well over a year now. Gone from randoms to people that I enjoy playing with every night and doing things that I wouldn't be able too without a large friends list.

 

I'm going to go check that out now I have no idea what that is. Oh I've been playing this since the release too forgot to mention that in last post just never really took the game seriously at all and never really tried till now because it's starting to challenge me and that's what I like
