With that logic someone that pays for lessons or schooling to get better at something is also "getting less" because the teacher didnt volunteer their time for free

I completely disagree with your view and that is fine, i still respect it though and I hope you do get a good enough team to make it flawless before destiny 2.
Youre allowed your opinions. Doesnt make what I did wrong. It doesn't make me less of a player. I was tired of getting into Trials and having an extremely hard time getting beyond 6 wins. I have 1 friend that will play, but hes a rager. He rolls with guys that are the same way. They got no time for a guy like me and .io doesnt deliver. Those guys just want to complete the book and just die fast.

I needed more time in with and against good players, and thats what I did. I play a lot of Crucible, but Trials is next level try hard. No amount if standard crucible can prepare you for Trials. It can give you comfort with a loadout and some situational awareness, but not like Trials.
Everyone in there will do whatever it takes to win. Ive seen some crazy tactics these last 2 weeks and 7+ cards ive ran. Im far better because of playing against people like that and getting to the 6 -9th matches. Cause thats when shit gets real.

So let's fast forward to my skill level now after playing with these guys. Im not anxious or sweaty. I keep a clearer head now and because i have played guys that are of much higher skill level, I am better because of it. Didnt rage once, nor get angry. Sure there was frustration, but I kept a more level head than ever before.

My loadouts and builds are on point finally. Now that ive got this new pulse im already seeing the benefits of HC rounds. Still not as good as my buddys clever dragon, but it can face off with a skilled hand. Im trading between specials as well. Ive never used a shotty so much, but i still prefer a sniper. Being skilled with both is a plus. Got my 1st shotgun 5 kill streak lol.

So these guys are now my friends and play trials with me without charging and I have no doubt they will continue to do so. Good guys, absolutely beasts at the game. I regret nothing.

I understand the logic I just don't agree with the means (not that I have too). You are entitled to play the game anyway you wish. It's your money. I just disagree with the statement "going to go flawless again this weekend". It's easy to say that when you are getting carried (not implying that you aren't helping out some).

I consider myself as an above average player in PvP. I don't let my emotions get the best of me whether we win or lose. I just focus on the next game since there are many games to play to get to the Lighthouse and it is at minimum a 2-3 hour sweat fest. I also know that there are many people out there that are much better at the game than I am but I can usually give them a challenge and they know after I've played them that they will have to work for the win.
I also agree that Trials is a completely different animal and that's why I play it. There is no amount of 6v6 Crucible that will get you the skills needed for Trials. I rarely play 6v6 (unless IB is around) anymore for that specific reason. Only elimination will get you somewhat prepared. And you are correct... after the 5th round it starts getting sweaty and that is the part I really love. It brings out your "A" game (or it should anyway). I love the strategy behind each game and trying to figure out what the other team is going to do.

So while I might disagree with your method I still stand behind my statements. No hard feelings brother.

Dying in Trials is just the beginning, youre not out and critical to the win still. I would say I did more than some of the work. Even sacrificed myself to give my team that one shot needed.

Flopping skorris when I get my super and losing enhanced radar to help them get supers.

    Call outs!

Lots of fuck boi grenades, got 2 doubles that way when you plop one behind a wall where 2 hard scoped snipers were sitting. Also shuts down a lane or door.

    Call out!

    Team shoot

Push a res out of the line of fire

These are just some of the things ive learned in 2 weeks time.

Snipe and rush. Once one goes down on the other team we rush while one hard scopes the rez. Either I or one other guy on the team snipes since we are good at it. I'm much better with a sniper than I am with a shotgun (though I can hold my own). We play a lot... and I mean a lot of private 3v3 matches and try to push each other out of our comfort zone and that has helped immensely. I should not have taken my Hunter in Trials this week since I was more of a hindrance than anything since I've only played the Hunter for a week. I can play the Hunter but I'm nowhere as proficient with the hunter as I need to be so I was no help to my team. That was all my fault why we lost in the 5th round.

Each team that you run up against will have a different tactic and that is what I really love about Trials. It's much like a chess match (and I play a lot of chess). I love the team that runs the same tactic each and every time even when it doesn't work. We'll steamroll them. We have a specific tactic for each map but if we get beat with that tactic the first game it's time for plan B. No need in running that again as we will get steamrolled. Sometimes we will do things that make no sense at all but it's to make the other team go WTF are they doing????

Had a team shoot their own bubble to get orbs to drop. Its the only way we could figure this guy used blade twice so quickly.

I also had a stormcaller take a full slam with no damage and another WL take me out of full health/shield and kill me with a melee. He took a full scoped matador to the chest from point blank. Fucking WLs are so OP.

Yea, this game gets really shitty sometimes.

We've run into things like that before. 30 secs into one game a bladedancer already had his super? Bullshit. The WL taking no damage to with a shotgun to the chest (assuming you didn't miss) was most likely due to lag not OP. That or his thunderstrike proc'd. Lag is my biggest enemy in the game. Was playing around in crucible last night and got sniped through a wall. No part of me was sticking out so shit like that pisses me off but what can you do? People will cheat and take advantage when they can. The biggest problem I see in Trials (and I will stand by this statement) is bad connections. Until they run dedicated servers for Trials it will continue to be so.

My best kill this last Trials was when the other team was bunched up, threw a smoke grenade followed up with voidwall and.... triple kill "wrecking ball".

Went really well yesterday in testing. Lets see how the cards go this weekend.

    FUCKING FINALLY!!!!!

After countless numbers of passages this weekend we finally went flawless. I had all but given up today but they talked me into one more time. Made it to the 7th round flawless and lost. Then lost our mercy. Took us an hour and a half to get to 7 rounds but by then we were determined we could do it. Made it to the 9th round and lost the first game. We were on our mercy game at 4 - 4. Waited for our Skoris to charge and went apeshit on the other team and pulled it out! We've been trying since last Feb. to go flawless and finally made it. I was so fucking stressed out after the game that I didn't realize how much it took out of you mentally lol. But it's done!

This was all accomplished on my Hunter which I started a little less than two weeks ago and all I've done with him is Trials. His K/D is in the tank (.91) but I can bring that up with regular crucible. Ended up with the Blind Perdition (Adept) which is all I wanted but also got the Winged Word sniper (which is a fucking beast), the helmet, arms, legs, 3 cloaks, and the ornament for the cloak.

    Perfect (if not stressful day)

I think self res needs to gain a timer for use after getting killed. People wait until the round is over on a trade and exploit that res, bring up their team and use skorri to get over a min of uninterrupted charging and the win...

Also, why do people get a overshield when being revived? Shouldn't get a reward for dying

Lastly, skorri has got to go

    My 2c... Rant over

Shit... WL's can save the day with a well timed rez. I've used it often. A sun singer WL brings nothing else to the table other than fusion grenades since they nerfed the shit out of firebolt grenades. You know that going into a match so it should be expected as you fly in and are inspecting the other team and adjust accordingly.

Now that being said.... I don't know why the delay has started after a rez? That has just started recently and I think it's a bug because up until recently it wasn't there and with that I agree. It gives a unfair advantage to that team so they can build up their (our) supers. On our last match that was tied 4-4 we jumped up on top of the tank car and built our supers since we knew the other team blew their supers the previous round to get it to 4-4. Luckily we didn't and had staggered ours out so we had skoris to leach. Once we were ready we baited them in, I tethered, and the bladedance and storm caller commenced and it was done. Nothing unfair about that as it was a valid strat and they had just as much access to the same thing but timed it poorly.

As far as the overshield goes on a rez, if you are that close to a rez by yourself you are doing it wrong. You also get a overshield when you (or a teammate) gets rezzed so it's a wash. That's why they made low impact snipers unable to rez snipe and forces you to use a high impact sniper which is arguably harder to handle due to the higher zoom. So I have no issue with the overshield on revive.

The best strategy I can give for Trials is don't chase the kill if you and one on the opposite team are the last one standing. More than likely they are baiting you in for the kill. ALWAYS get the rez even if it means resetting. Use your supers wisely.

I'll go back in and do it but I think I'll take a break for a few weeks unless it's a map I really like. I hated Exodus Blue and is one of my least favorite maps so I'm surprised that is the one we actually went flawless on. I'm not impressed with the Buring Eye. It's nice but it's not the best scout rifle out there. I got the exact weapons I wanted with the pulse and sniper so I'm happy for the time being.

Not something ill use in PvP, but PvE its super fun when using explosive rounds. I noticed on the fallen saber fight it hits 3 different areas for damage.

I know youre done with everything and what not but this one is worth another passage ... Or 5

I'm hoping this hunter build is everything i need to go into trials and do better. For now im just grinding.

Oh I wouldn't turn it down at all. Just another weapon to collect. I think the thing now with me is since we have tried to go flawless for almost a year and finally got it done I feel a much needed break is in order. I'm not done with Trials by a long shot. Hell... If it's a map I like next week I might just play. But I'm going to pick and choose for a while since it's not a priority anymore since I've got it done and was the only thing in the game that I haven't done.

It's kind of a shame that I took a WL in for almost a year and never went flawless. Got real close a few times but no go. I start a hunter and in less than 2 weeks I go flawless. I still stand by my statement that Hunters are OP in Crucible. I've built mine with a Discipline / Strength build so I can throw smoke and voidwall constantly and lock people down. The super comes up fast with the subclass. Funny thing is I got the Thorn bounty a few days ago and got all the void ability kills done while doing Trials.

It was kind of funny when I went to the Lighthouse. I didn't know it was a social space that you can go to until it resets on Friday. I landed and there were a few people mulling around. I waved at everyone I saw lol. Then was like "never seen you here before... must be your first time" lol.

I love my Titan, especially in PvE. But the hunter has so many tricks up its sleeve and every class had serious potential. It's definitely more geared towards my play style in PvP.

I have no doubt ill go flawless with the right people on a regular basis once i get these classes unlocked. Shit, im already almost a T12 5 5 2 build after 2 days playing.

I didn't think strength was the way to go but if youre wombo, makes sense. Ill fuck with it a bit. I'm saving Everything i drop thats gold rolls
