Mida/sidearm was a favorite of mine for sure. Are you running a Felwinter Nightstalker?

Those people you played were not skilled at all.

Yeah... In doubles I usually run Fellwinter along with Frostees (for even faster regen) for the double smoke and grenades every 25 secs rather than tether where you might get one kill at best. Hell... I run that in 6v6 just because I get more kills with smoke and grenades than a tether. And I agree those guys sucked.

Add frostee boots and a gun with grenadier for even faster nades.
    Also, spike over voidwall

I actually prefer voidwall as it "usually" travels in the direction of who you through it at. Combine that with smoke and they are dead. Hunter spike grenades are good for cutting off paths (much like spike grenades for the Titan) but I have better luck with voidwall grenades and smoke.

Now in true transparency, I couldn't sleep last night so I played a few games. We played Widows Court and got our ass handed to us twice. Granted I was playing with randos but still. One game they destroyed us. The rest were fine.

That build is better in doubles or 3s, not so much 6s imho

Ive noticed that doubles is all about camping with a fusion near ammo.

I run it all the time other than when we play control. I promise you I get more kills with smoke / grenades than I ever do with a tether that only comes up every 3-4 mins rather than every 25 secs or less. Wombo Combo will stop most anyone. At least for me. Tether is great for control especially if there are more than one on a control point but an argument could be made for a wombo combo for that also. Since I only run Nightstalker (for shadestep) then it works for me. Also picking up orbs charges my grenades even faster so it's a no brainer for me.

I picked up that 125% felwinter many moons ago. I can almost get a t15 build (but no super)

Lol... Yeah me too. Tier 15 means nothing without a super but if you have armor that allows for grenade regen upon orb pickup then it is awesome. I very seldom take it off unless we are in a raid. Skorri is pretty much useless now in trials since it requires a kill to start. So I run detailed radar now since a tether comes in handy if used correctly.

That said... I haven't run trials in a month or so since I've got every weapon out of it. Most have become useless now since all the nerfs. The Burning Eye (Adept) is great for PvE but sucks in PvP. Since the pulse rifle nerf the Blind Predition(Adept) isn't as good as it used to be. It's still okay but not my go to gun anymore. Mida, VoC, or the Fang of Ir Yut are my go to scout rifles. Got a god roll Palindrome so it's a two tap with rangefinder and rifled barrel. The Winged Word is still good but I've gotten to where I prefer the Defiance of Yasmin over it since I like the scope better. It will still rez snipe so that's a plus.

I can finally say that im done with D1 and ended on a great note. I won a raffle tonight and got to play with a streamer ive been following for 6 months.
Thats twice ive won raffles with some of D1s top talent. Both times went to the lightshack as well.

So I've been playing around with the Memory of Felwinter and I've got to say on a nightstalker having double smoke and grenades every 25 secs to lock people down is pretty cool.

    Yup,

Gameplay is still about the same just a little bit slower. Crucible I love the 4v4 and that's pretty much all I've done. Haven't gone negative yet.
