Side note - I hated hand cannons for the longest time. I have found a new love with the Thurm and Sunshot. Anyone else have these in their collection yet?

 

Looking to beef up my clan. If anyone is interested in some casual laid back gamers who like to participate in all PvE and PvP activities, consider joining The Risen Raiders. I'm with you on soloing the raid. Not saying it can't be done because I'm sure someone out there will figure it out but the way the mechanics are set up I can't "personally" think of a way.

I'm with you on hand cannons. They've never been my thing. I've got both and I actually like the Sunshot. The only exotic weapon I don't have at the moment is the Vigilance Wing (except the raid shotgun quest). I can't get that motherfucker to drop.

This is the reason that we don't one phase Calus. It's just too damn easy to do it this way and we can kind of just fuck around in the encounter. No reason to learn another strat just for the sake of getting him down in one phase and possibly wiping because we are throwing a new mechanic into the mix. We get him down every time this way.

 

I'm sure most of you know this faction token farm but just in case no one has seen it, it will net you 38 - 41 engrams in about 7 mins with a Sunshot. If you're using the Nameless Midnight then you will get more just because of the deeper mag but I don't want to stand in there for 15 mins running back and forth. Granted it isn't the most fun thing to do but... it is the most efficient way to collect faction tokens. Run into the lost sector and shoot the boxes then run back to the red light, turn around, rinse and repeat.

It scales to your level but you won't get shot by anything getting those three boxes and then running back out to the light. Run back until you see "The Rupture" (at the red light) and just go back in. It resets the instance so you can do it as much or as little as you want. It's boring (which is why I only do it for a little bit) but I haven't found a faster way to get tokens easier.

A high impact hand cannon or scout rifle should 2 shot each box

 

That's about all I've done. I deleted the other WL and got my Hunter to 300. So each of my characters are 300+ now.

Ps4, its me and a few buddies, we're an hour ahead of you timezone wise, my roommate is on from 4-12 every night basically, I'm usually on 7-11 or so, 3rd guy plays both platforms so he's on ps4 by request. My roommate and i aren't really on weekends until hunting season ends though

 

If you want to play with a larger clan then you're more than welcome to join ours. We raid at least a couple times each week, crucible, trials, etc... Everyone is really cool. We do have a core group that raids together and plays trials so it's a little hard to get a spot in our core group at the start of each new raid update or trials but we start sherpa runs a few weeks after each raid iteration comes along. The thing about a bigger clan is better rewards each week. Ours isn't huge (50 members or so) but the active players consist of around 25-30. PS4 also

Just got into d2

Feels a lot different than d1 but maintains a lot of core themes, which is cool. soundtrack on this game is super dope

crucible feels waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different. they nerfed the blink so hard, it'll take a lot of getting used to.

 

Pretty much everything in crucible is different. Ttk is a lot longer, objective based Trials, and Mida - Auto Rifle - Submachine Gun - Sidearms are the meta right now. They nerfed shadestep since it comes up so much less. I'm not opposed to the changes since it's made it a more gun focused game than just grenade spamming. You really have to decide when the best time to use your abilities. And lastly... the days of lone wolfing it are pretty much over. It forces you to play as a team. 1v1 isn't too bad and I'm not too concerned with facing off against someone else but you will get teamshot like a motherfucker and will be melted within a second if it's 2v1 or anything more.

 

the new heavy ammo drops are weird, still getting used to that too.

lack of abilities def makes it more team oriented. Played a few comp matches, and it seemed everyone played way more defensively now.
how does the comp playlist work? Is it finally mmr based?

Though the games I played in comp, everyone was garbage lol

 

Honestly not really sure how matches are matched up anymore. But yeah... everyone plays more defensive now. The only thing that I don't like is you cannot pick your game mode anymore. You just have to play what comes up which is either Countdown or Survival in competitive mode. Survival being my favorite by far.

 

I played a few matches of that lives/stock elimination mode and both teams were just....camping on opposite sides of the map..... lol
