I did! I traded in a bunch of xbox 360 games that I would never play again and got it for Xbone.

Honestly I'm just extremely disappointed. D1 had a rough launch and I think we can all agree on that. The thing is... There were still plenty of things to do in the game after reaching the endgame. There was always that specific weapon or piece of armor that you wanted that kept you playing. Not so with D2.
It says something when our clan only schedules one raid night a week since there isn't anything from the raid that we can get that we don't already have. Until the DLC drops we've moved on to other games to play because there simply isn't anything to do in the game. Whoever was the braintrust behind having static rolls on everything and such a small loot pool that you consistently get the same items over and over needs to be fired and never rehired again as a game designer.

PvP? Why even bother? After an hour or so what's the use since (as of now) you can't even pick what game type you'd like to play? Iron Banner? Yeah, that "used" to be fun in D1 but all you get is reskinned weapons / armor. Yes... I know that is going to change in the future but it's here right now so what's the use in logging in?

The point is... pretty much everything they promised us before the game launched was a lie. When after a month from launch and you literally have nothing to do in the game is just extremely disappointing. I didn't think that they could fuck up the launch after D1 but I was mistaken. This is the most overhyped game to come out in a very long time and I bought into the hype in a big way since I had really high hopes for it. They had a really good foundation to build from by learning from the mistakes of D1 but instead, they actually made a worse game environment and I didn't think that was possible.

So as a clan we've moved onto other games like Battlefront 2 and Gran Turismo Sport. And before anyone goes apeshit over Battlefront 2 and the card situation, it was never really an issue since you were gated from actually using anything by your level so I've never had any issue playing against others that might have spent money on trying to obtain cards that you couldn't upgrade until you were a specific level. I'll put it this way... I've only gone negative one time in PvP. And EA (of all publishers) actually suspended the microtransactions for the foreseeable time. So at least the development team (or publisher) realized the issue and fixed it right away.

So in the meantime, we (as a clan) will be sticking to those two games. If you are a gearhead then Gran Turismo Sport is a lot of fun. Racing with your friends is just a lot of fun and trying to one up each other on the Nurburgring is something we do everyday. As of right now I've got the record for the fastest gold lap but that could change by the time I log back in.

 

I completely agree with you. I picked up MGS last month when it was free on the PS Store. There's plenty to do in game that's for sure.

Considering there is such a small loot pool that they use I don't doubt it. I got 3 Last hopes in a row Sat. night after the raid. 90% if the weapons / armor in the game are throwaway. Having static rolls on everything causes that. Until they come out with random rolls once again, it's going to be the same shit. All they had to do was just carry forward all the good things about D1 and add to it but nope. They fucked it up.

 

Understand that. I don't even log in anymore since it's such a shit game with the state that it's in right now. We run one raid a week and that's it. Fuck Bungie until they fix their shit.

 

Let's put it this way. As of now they've lost over 75% of their playerbase since the launch of D2. Less than 25% of the people that started playing are the only ones left. That's how fucked up this piece of shit is right now.

It's not only Rick Kackis (who I'm sure you're aware has been with Destiny since the beginning) but look at all the people that have done the math on Reddit. Look at the people that are willing to put in the time and figured out Bungie was fucking us with XP gains in the hopes you would buy Bright Engrams with real money. It's all out there for you to see. Believe it if you want or don't. I don't really care. But it is what it is. Bungie has fucked this game up in it's current state.
