If you paid for it I say play it. At the very least getting to the new max light level will carry you till PUBG comes out.

 

I need to pay more attention to this stuff... I already was behind, now I'm even more behind

 

The new DLC doesn't require much. In order to use higher than 305 gear you need to hit lvl 21 but the story line I believe is only recommended 200 light lvl.

 

How tf do I hit 21. I think I'm at 250 light so I may have to hit the story tonight, about how long is the new story? This game is too complicated for my small brain... I just like shooting things.

 

Sounds like you got enough to keep you busy. My brother and I ran through the new story stuff fairly quick. I really just wanted to see where they were going with it.

hitting 21 is just a matter of filling up the xp bar. I'm not exactly sure the dynamics behind it because I was already max light before DLC. My brother was somewhere around 300 and ended up catching by the end of the night.

 

Ah ok, I just thought the max was 20, wasn't sure if I had to be a certain light level first or something.

 

Can confirm, own a turd gen and avoid that whole section of the forums.

Yeah it looks pretty damn awesome. The best looking games on PS4 right now are GT Sport (I mean it looks photo realistic) and Horizon Zero Dawn. Of course those games were optimized for the Pro. But any 4k HDR capable game looks great on the Pro. I'd imagine they would look a little better on the Xbox One X (if they were offered) since it has newer hardware in it than the Pro. I'd like to buy one but just can't justify it since everyone I play with is on PSN. That... and there really are very few console exclusive titles anymore. The Last of Us (and The Last of Us 2 when it comes out) are system sellers. I think I'm going to buy my daughter a Switch for Christmas. She's been wanting one and in all honestly I have too lol.

 

Yup.... I can confirm it is lol. Took it into PvP and destroyed with it. I wouldn't have even thought about taking it in there until you mentioned something about it. Said fuckit and took it in. Jesus Christ it melts faces within a second. I see a nerf coming very soon lol.

If you PvP yes you do lol. It's stupid that it will map people. It will be nerfed soon so I hope you get one before the nerf. It reminds me of the Vex and Thorn in D1 before the nerf. If you didn't have either one of those weapons you were done. I remember before I got Thorn I'd watch my health tick down and know that there was nothing I could do about it.

I agree. D1 had a rough launch but not nearly as bad as D2 IMO. But... at least they are working on it so hopefully it will get better. I honestly don't look for it to be as good as D1 became but it should become better than it is right now.

*EDIT* and fuck the Matador or Party Crasher with extended range lol. I never did get a good roll on those shotguns. I never was a shotgunner though and much preferred pulling off crispy snipes.

theyve stated that they want d2 to be fun to watch when streamed pvpwise...the fuck? Any esport that came about because of d2 pvp would be teams doing nothing but sticking in deathballs, and whoever had someone die first loses

I agree with ya on the PvP side of things. I rarely go into PvP in D2 since it just isn't fun. D1 (if you were good) you could lone wolf it and still come out on top. But D2 the ttk is so long that it makes that playstyle damn near impossible since getting teamshot will melt you in a heartbeat. Forget going in with randos. Very seldom do you find a group that sticks together so your team is fucked. I can't imagine what the streamers are going through now since D1 was a lot of fun to watch (and play) good PvP players. I learned a lot just from watching their strats. D2 strat? Stick together or die. Boring to watch and boring to play.

I took the Prometheus Lens in today and went 20 and 10 with Randos. You can see how good my team was and we still won with me running off by myself since everyone was scattered on my team lol.
