So after numerous upgrades and such, it looks like my character is starting at level 1, LL100. Is that normal of a carried over character from D1 or is that where everyone starts

    EDIT: and now at the farm....LL 11. . .

nothing from the character transferred over from D1 aside from the character itself. no equipment, no levels, no nothing.

they should have taken the WoW approach and just continued the same everything w/ adding the new stuff. would have kept the changes before D2 and kept people on board i think.

I agree but they warned us that we were losing everything beforehand. Then they teased us with the loot. But the loot pool was so small that it was stupid. My biggest problem with D2 year 1 was no random rolls. That completely ruined the game for me. Deleting the same shit over and over and over and over..... Jesus...

But I will give them credit for this dlc. They did it right. I now look at every piece of armor and weapons before I delete or infuse them. The story was good and I really like how it was non linier so you could take any path you wanted. I've got a great set of PVE and PVP armor. Shotguns are back but I've got a full auto sidearm that will melt them before they can even get to me. They really did a lot of things right this time around. And I don't know if it's just me but the graphics look even better now also.

Agreed; I think the graphics are noticeably better than D1

I mean the graphics from year 1 D2 to the new dlc. And there is so much to explore this time around. Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City are bigger than all of the planets in D2 year 1.

I've been playing since D1 beta and there has never been more to do in the game now that this expansion has come out. It is massive.

The raid btw looks like it will be 550 so the grind is real.

Hey guys, I used to follow this thread long ago when I was deep into D1. After a long hiatus I've picked up D2 just before the DLC launch and am hooked all over again. I'm on PC; battle.net: Acka#11783

Gloomy weekend so spent the time finishing the main Forsaken story and figuring out all the changes. Seems like they have fixed a lot of stuff, going back to kind of how D1 worked with a few twists. Me likey. First thing I did was fully upgrade the first bow I got -- glad I did, because making orbs made things go a lot smoother. Really liking the bow!

And I have ghosts to hunt again!

I figured that was the case or else I would have seeked you out as well. That is cool to see this game is finally delivering on some realm of TTK. Does this seem to have more juice than when TTK dropped back in the D1 era?
