If you like having ghosts to hunt (I do to btw) be sure to go into your Triumphs page on your character and click on everything that has a little plus sign. Each thing has a score attached to it. The harder difficulty items are obviously worth more but even having stuff going back to original D1 is in there also. Kind of a cool way track your progress. If you get everything done in one of the seven categories you can get a title under your name which is kind of cool. Don't look for anyone to get any of those anytime soon though. Jesus there's a lot of shit to do which is cool as shit to me.

That's the problem with me lol. I got everything done around the house last Monday so I wouldn't have to do anything for at least a week. And after that I haven't done much of anything other than play this game. I've tried out everything the game has to offer up to this point and I can say that I'm honestly impressed.

I really went into this expansion thinking this will be the make or break time for me with Destiny. But other than a relatively small amount of things that are still annoying, they completely fixed the game. The new areas are larger than the entire Destiny universe to date and there are so many secrets to be discovered. I can’t imagine how much time was spent on this expansion because of all the stuff that hey have packed in. I’m not ready to say my faith in Bungie has been restored but they are definitely moving on the right direction.

Hell yea that's solid that they have delivered for you guys for once! From the trailers the story does look intriguing for once, but not sure how the campaign for it has lived up? Its too bad bungie takes forever to deliver on the destiny franchise as like with TTK, I would have loved to get back into it but I just don't want to commit all the monies to play catch up since I never did any expansions.

Having time for other shit has been nice too haha although I just found my ESO disc which make F all that time up.

I agree with ESO. I played it for a while and I started seeing myself get hooked. I was hooked on MMO's for a very long time and there was a period where I thought I might get divorced because I spent so much time in those games lol. Destiny has been a little different. Other than the last week I haven't felt the need to log in everyday. But now... there is just so much to do in the game and it's all fun. That will die down over time but not nearly as fast as it has in the past. Adding all the triumphs and pursuits adds a lot of replayability to the game. Right now my main focus is gaining enough power to enter the raid this Friday night. I'm sitting at 527 max right now but that's with ineffective weapons lol. The raid will be 550 to enter and I figure each boss encounter will be 10 power level higher to a max of 610 since the final boss is usually 10 power (LL) higher than your current level.

I've got a "god roll" Pulse out of Gambit the other night. It's better than the one he is selling for resetting your rank 15 times IIRC and that one is a damn nice one. I never expected Gambit weapons to drop like that so that was a nice surprise. Since the meta still favors Pulse Rifles in PvP it destroys in there with rangefinder. It reminds me of the Mida except in Pulse Rifle form and full auto. Almost the same scope and feel. I'm working on my Redrix's Broadsword quest right now and I've yet to go negative with it. Gambit is a blast to play and could be a game unto itself it's that fun. PvP is much more fun because of the shear use of different weapons. You'll get melted by something and wonder what the hell just hit me lol.

But that's the good thing about how they turned this game around. All they needed was random rolls to come back and give us content worth chasing. And they have done just that. The only criticism that I can come up with is bring back faction vendors like they were in D1. NO ONE gives a shit about faction rallies. Everyone loved the rotating stock each week from the different faction vendors. If they would bring back just that one thing it would make the game as good if not better than D1 in it's TTK / RoI days. Not saying it isn't there already but it would just that much better.

Im sure you have disclosed it before...but shit man I wasn't sure if you were a raging bachelor with your commitment to the D! That does sound like they have really considered the formula for more longevity with stuff. I think I need to sub your channel, I cant imagine if a guy like you is struggling in a raid, then others might be just screwed to say the least. Whats sad man is I am so far out of the loop with D that I don't even know all of your references at this point due to all the new aspects they have added to the game. As usual...my double life lives on thanks to you brother!

Honestly when I logged in last week I was lost also. But it didn't take long to figure it out. Wouldn't take you long either. I consider myself an above average player but I'm not in the god tier league. I was ranked 4400 something in Trials last year so that's something. Did the first raid lair 90 something times and the regular Levitation raid probably 40 times or so, but it just got old. Spire of Stars sucked IMO so I only completed Prestige mode once and that was enough. But that was nothing in comparison with VoG in D1 where I ended up with over 150 HM clears and about as many HM TTK clears with challenges.

I need to start putting out more content of our runs on Youtube. I've always said that failing in misiberable ways is almost as fun as completing the activity (sometimes more fun).

Bungie has locked that raid chest so no one can get anything out of it until the raid goes live. Bungie came out and said that they will not reciend the items gained by some players that used this exploit and will not ban those players that benefited from doing this exploit. I personally disagree as I think those players should be banned and have those items taken away for cheating the game but that is just my opinion.

I agree it's a bug and it's happened all the time. But I'm firmly against people gaining an advantage over another by cheating the system. There are some people that are running around with a full set of raid gear and weapons already and the raid hasn't even gone live. Those players, to me, should be banned and those items taken away. It's one thing to find a bug that doesn't allow you to gain anything over another player even if it's glitching out of the map. It's another to completely negate the raid altogether and gain the items without even running the raid. JMO.

Orpheus Rigs still work like they used too. As long as you have enough adds to tether you get your super back instantly. We ran about 8 Tier III Blind Well runs the other night and I had no issue being the only hunter with tether. I was able to keep my super and everyone else's up all the time so we could chain them back and forth. Blind Well is a lot harder to get a group for because if you want to get your friends in you pretty much have to invite other players in the area into chat and get them to allow your friends to join on them. It took us about 30 mins Saturday night to get our group together with 9 people but at our level you will need 9 people to be able to complete a Tier III run. But it is totally worth it.

I'm sure most of you have noticed the Prime Attunement buff that you get at reset everyday. Make sure you play until you get your prime engram to drop. They drop off of high level bosses in strikes, in the patrol space, and by finishing Crucible / Gambit matches. I've never had one drop in PvP but they drop almost anywhere in the open world. Just make sure you play each day until it drops as it will be a much higher level than whatever you have equipped.

Video of Orpheus Rigs at work and getting and opening a prime engram.

*EDIT* Perfect PvP chest piece for me dropped :)

Just beat the red war campaign, now it should be time to start leveling. I’m stopped at 20. I forgot how to keep going...maybe the game just lets you once you beat it?

To me D has always been the game that people are constantly seeking ways to break it although it would be better if it wasn't like that. I do agree that they should make a disclaimer and then remove those items from their inventories, but to ban them for simply identifying a flaw with the game in some ways actually helps the game with bungie being proactive about it. I think with how D initially identified their game with D1...you will always see guys trying to find the advantage by testing all sorts of aspects of the game. Its probably the one thing that I feel bad for the D devs for as you know they are constantly in a scramble when they release something new cause of this stuff.

Maybe you guys are correct. Maybe a ban is a little too harsh but I still think the items should be removed from their inventory.

So the new Nightstalker subclass might be a little OP with a sniper in PvP. You can see through walls and are invisible for 10 when flawless execution is active.

So.... Three weeks in and I'm sitting at 575 on my hunter depending on weapon loadout. So now that I've had some time to get accustomed to all the new things in the game I can say without hesitation that Bungie knocked it out of the park with this expansion. I don't know what happened to the first year of D2 but whatever happened they must have really listened to the community and implemented pretty much everything that was asked for and much much more. It is unreal all the secrets still to be uncovered. New missions drop every single week and the areas for those missions are HUGE. It's just unreal to me how much they made a turnaround with this game and made it almost everything that I wanted from Destiny. I held off for quite some time before making a final judgement on the game so I'd have some time to experience everything the game has to offer and I can say without a doubt this is the best work Bungie has ever done. PvP is in a very good spot now with the exception of a few supers that are extremely OP (I'm looking at you exploding Void WL's lol). Gambit is a fucking blast and can be tense while being invaded or invading. There is nothing more satisfying than invading and killing the entire team or at the very least killing someone holding 15 motes before they can bank them.

We've only had the chance to go in the raid once so far and cleared the second encounter and the mechanics so far are a lot of fun.

I suppose my takeaway from this game is there is always something to do when you log in which wasn't the case in year one D2. Now everyday there is something for me to chase after. That's all I asked for and I got it. I hope those that are still playing are enjoying it as much as I am. If you haven't picked it up I highly recommend you do so. It is worth the hype and money.

    Yeah.
Well, some of us have to work . . . :boink:

I am certainly enjoying the game again. I've been running Arc on my warlock, switched back to Void last night and that super lasts freaking forever compared to the Arc super. I think they need to lengthen the Arc one and shorten the Void one.

For me, there's so much stuff to chase after that I never finish everything and my Activities are always full. Of course, it probably takes me a bit longer since I am still only 533. While the daily Prime is nice, it would be nice to not get so many low-level drops and rewards. Yeah, I know, random rolls means I might get that God Roll on something, but what I really need is light level. I like having the Triumphs to chase after, not sure why since it doesn't seem to give you anything.

I've mostly avoided PvP and have always sucked at it, but I seem to be doing better these days. I only do it to get the Challenges done, but it's a lot more enjoyable when you are not getting your ass handed to you all the time. Had a good Gambit team the other night and we did a 7 game streak, only losing 2 individual matches before we decided to do something different. Great game mode, but frustrating if teammates just run around carrying 15 motes all the time.

Other than the endless grind and very slow progress, I agree that they have done a great job getting some core things back to what they should be and adding new stuff that is actually fun and well-designed.

I've been loving Gambit for the most part. It sucks when you get on a team of randoms who either don't know how to play or are just there to complete quests/bounties. I've been playing an average of 20-25 hrs per week finishing all powerful reward tasks and I'm sitting at 546 right now. It's a slow grind but at least it's pretty steady.

The new Arc super is destructive as hell in PvP. I agree it is short but you can't get taken out of it while it's active. PvE it will melt a boss. I don't run it on the WL because I like the new Radiance Well. The most OP super by far is the void bomb WL. It's stupid strong and lasts forever. At the level your at right now my recommendation is to do the Flashpoint first, then the dailies, then the weeklys. After that go to the dreaming city and and do the Petra weekly bounties for the high level loot. Your light will jump up fast.

We just ran about 5 gambit matches and destroyed the other teams. I actually got hate mail for the first time in a while lol. I love getting hate mail

That's why I never run with randoms in Gambit.
