Jesus I had an ungodly experience in Gambit last night. I only play Gambit with three other guys because our system works 99% of the time. I was fucking around in the game finishing up bounties that I've put off for the last week and a buddy in the clan asked if I would help him with his Gambit bounties. "Sure why not?". He invites another guy from our clan and then someone I've never played with that was a friend of his.
This dude was about the most obnoxious guy I've ever played with. He immediately joins the party and says he's going to do all the invading because he gets at least 30 + guardian kills per match. My buddy in the clan told him that I usually do all the invading because of the 26 kill streak I had that one game (which there was some luck involved when I did that). But I said "nah man it's cool... this I've got to see". So he kept on bragging about his skill and I kept egging him on. His loadout was complete trash with the exception of the Queenbreaker Bow (which is damn good btw). So I put on my Trials emblem (which I never run because it makes you a target) and so did my other two clanmates. I asked him to put his on and he said he didn't have it on him and his emblems were full. I said "it's in your Triumphs page now so you can pull it out anytime... we'll psyke the other team out". He said he couldn't find it (no surprise there since I looked him up and he's never gone flawless lol). So we played three matches and he got 5 kills the first match, 1 kill the second match, and 3 kills the third match. I ended up with more guardian kills than he did by others invading us. Surprisingly we actually won 1 match. I left after the third because I couldn't listen to him anymore.

Dude I cant stand assholes like that who play such a hard game. I mean it makes you wonder depending on his age...why bro? Im sure you are like me where you don't always boast about your abilities, but man I bet it was challenging to hold back your street cred and skill just to see this kid either prove himself or shit the bed. Makes you wonder if he will look to want to play with you now that he knows your skillset? That would have made me pretty frustrated though knowing some dbag is wasting my time with all this talk and cant even deliver on a relative fraction of what he claimed.

Oh I thought it was funny as shit. I just couldn't stand to listen to him anymore. I never say anything about how I play. I've found that if I say anything remotely close to that I'll almost always shit the bed and look like a dumbass. So if I have a bad game (which happens to all of us) I've not said anything where someone expects more out of me. I just let my actions speak for themselves. Plus it takes the pressure off of you in case you underperform. I have more good games than bad and that's about all you can ask for.

I almost sent him this after I left lol.

Yea man I figured with your experience and success in the game...that you would likely never boast unless it was provoked. The guys who are good seldom need to boast, cause frankly people find out pretty fast on their own and most find little desire in trying to educate the scrubs on their talents when even if they know...so what. Def some solid accolades brother...makes me jelly of the kills and Im sure the funny banter convos that take place during these accomplishments.

Those are actually my ELO rankings. You can tell the game modes I like the most lol.

We keep it cool when we play and we're usually just bullshitting while playing and still giving callouts. Takes the stress off of each match and makes them more fun.

That's the way to be, agreed the best way to take away the stress is some quality BS through the match unless it is too distracting. I bet some good commentary went out when surviving some epic shit/shutting down some punk.

The most satisfying kills are taking an Arcstrider hunter out with a shotgun or having to cast Blade Barrage to shutdown a different super. There is no counter for a Blade Barrage since your way up in the air when you cast it and kills everyone in the surrounding area. Blade Barrage will shut down almost any super with the exception of a few WL supers and Titan Supers. That's about all I run in crucible. The problem with running Blade Barrage is it has a worthless middle tree. Grenades that don't really do any damage and throwing knives are situational.

Haha that def sounds like an annoying MF to deal with. I used to love doing a titan slam when a hunter would do his special back in the D1 days as you just "nope" the shit out of him! I need to youtube that super.

I run Arcstrider sometimes and a Titan will always slam you out of your super. You really need to know when to pop it and what the other team has already used. I've popped it many times and got slammed out of it right off the bat. But... It's the only hunter super that can also get a 7th column medal. So map / team awareness really has to be used with Arcstrider to be effective. Also don't pop it and run around a corner with four people shooting at you. You'll never make it to the first kill. Ask me how I know lol.

I've been playing since D1 came out. But certainly not on a dirty xbox. :)

Most of my friends quit playing a while back so I haven't done a raid in a while. My last one was the raid boss had the mechanical spider legs. Whatever that guy was called.

    This is true.

    Yeah.
I live by the rule underpromise and overdeliver. You will never hear me boasting about my skills, maybe an apology or two. I have my good days and my bad days.

If you get one and ever want to play let me know (even it's story/easy stuff). I play almost every day, just not raids or nightfalls.

Yup... Because as soon as I say something I'll fuck it up. Honestly some of the best times we have in the raid is dying in a spectacular fashion lol. The only clan rule we have is if someone goes down you must go out of your way to teabag them. I've been teabagged more than I care to admit

If you're on PS4 you're more than welcome to join the clan. We have at least 20-30 on every night. More on the weekends and there is always something scheduled on our 100.io site. We do EVERYTHING in the game. So if you are interested in the raid, pvp, NF, etc... there is always something going.

I still learn something new almost every PvP match. Each match "should" make you better as long as you're paying attention to what is going on.
