    Got the god roll!

Went in and farmed the NF and it was dropping like crazy tonight. Got 5 of them out of 8 runs. 8th run I got the curated version masterworked with range. Been a good week in D2 for me.

So played some PvP with my clan and the Broadsword is a fucking beast. I've heard a lot of people complain about the slow rate of fire and I'm almost like "WTF???" Did you not read the description of the weapon? It's a two tap to the head and once Desperado is proc'd then it deletes people from existence. The Mindbenders Ambition is the best shotgun I ever used. I "accidentally" got a kill when I turned around and mapped someone that I didn't even know was behind me. I can not wait for trials to come back.

Is there a better way to level a character than just starting at the beginning? I’m getting sick of my titan and want to try my hunter again. Only problem she’s only level 1. I haven’t touched since D2.

So dumb. I made it to level five last night before I gave up. I don’t even have the traveler yet. Otherwise I’d just do crucible and gambler (can’t get bounties). After playing for that short time, I miss my hunter.

In D1 didn’t have some light consumabale thing that would bump you up to a certain light level. Too bad they didn’t do that again.

When I downloaded this latest DLC I got something like that. I forget what level it brought me too, 25 maybe? It showed up on the screen where you pick your character.

Oooh yeah that’s it. I didn’t like my original hunter (looked like an emo version of hitler) so I deleted it. Then made a new character and got that seed of light or whatever it is. I’m starting for level zero not new character that’s why I didn’t get one.

Looks like I’m playing the whole d2 again. :(

In D1 you had to at least had one character to max level to be able to use the spark of light IIRC. If you only made it to level 5 last night you've really lost no time. I could make it to level 5 within about 30-45 mins of playtime.

Back when Crota first came out and you could glitch the abyss I did it and didn't get the drop that I wanted. I mained two WL's at the time so I moved all my stuff off of one of the WL's and put it in the vault and deleted the character. Deleted that character and leveled it back up to level 30 within a day all for the chance of getting that item that I wanted to drop and it did when I went back in. No telling how many hours I had put on that WL but those hours were lost when I deleted that character. A couple of years later I did the exact same thing and deleted that WL once again and started a hunter. By that time I had well over 1000 hours just in that one character alone. But I got tired of getting owned in crucible by hunters so I started a hunter. I did use the spark of light on the hunter to obtain max level though. But I had already played through all the storyline and everything there was to do in game.

I don't think they should ever give out something like that unless that person has played though the game at least once.

Video of me actually deleting my WL for the hunter.

Back when I used to play MMO's I had 5 characters leveled up with full raid gear from the hardest raid in the game at the time. To level one character in that game, it took a minimum of over a month to gain all the levels and equipment to even attempt the raid. I had 5 characters leveled. The first one took the longest since I didn't know what I was doing. The rest were easier but it was still a grind.

Now... With D2, my opinion is you should have to play through the entire game at least once. They didn't offer the spark of light until late in D1's cycle so it didn't really matter.

Where do you check that info?

I’ve played through the full game with my titan, half with my warlock, and none with my hunter.

I agree you should have to play through with at least one character. But once done you really shouldn’t have to play all the way through with each character though. Grinding is one thing, but that’s a waste of time.

Playing through the game on a different character isn't a waste of time. The game is teaching you how to play that particular character so you will be proficient with that character by the time you hit max level. Believe it or not, the game is pretty deep and you need to know all the in's and out's of each character and each subclass to even know what you're doing. If you were to drop in at level 50 and never played a hunter for instance... you wouldn't have a clue what your doing with that class. That would truly be a waste of time.

Understood. But between D1 and D2 I have 600 hours of play on my hunter. I’m pretty sure I have enough figured out by now. Plus im just a filthy casual so I know I’ll never be good enough to utilize those intricacies.

    Make it snappy man!!

Well... I've decided after this week I'm going to start on my journey get Luna's Howl.

This week is 2x's - 3x's Gambit XP so our team will be playing a bunch of that. After that the chase will begin. If you know me you know what I'll be doing until I get my hands on it. Same thing I did with the Claymore / Broadsword. I'm not the greatest with Hand Cannons and they aren't my weapon of choice but I've learned to like them over time. After I get the Luna's Howl I "might" go after the Not Forgotten. We'll see how long it takes to get the Luna's Howl.

The easiest way to get it is to stay in the lower levels and get the kills you need for the quest steps. Then the grind to hit Fabled begins. You really don't want to win your matches (especially solo) in the beginning so you can stay in the lower level of Glory and not face off with other players that might be using Luna's Howl. Once you get all the quest steps done "then" you begin your climb up the ladder to Fabled. I'll keep you updated.

Nice! Just in time for the buff to the Malfeasance. I haven't used it since I got it but now that it's gotten it's buff I just might put it back on?

We ran it twice and made it to the 8th level. I'm just not that interested in it for some reason? It's fun and I'm glad they put it in there but the auto rifle is nothing but a glorified Origin Story. It's certainly not bad by any means but I don't use auto rifles and you can't infuse it into anything else so your stuck with it. Just not something I personally want to go after.

My loadout doesn't change much from PvE to PvP. I've got an armor set for both. If I'm running PvE I run all my raid armor because all of it has shotgun / linear fusion rifle rolls on it. Since the raid is nothing but shotguns and fusion rifles / snipers it works perfect for me.

PvP... Pulse rifles are the meta right now along with hand cannons. Before I got the Broadsword I used a god roll Bygones and it was / is great. There is only one map that I use a scout rifle on because it's a long range map and I can flinch snipers with it with high caliber rounds. So my PvP build is Pulse Rifles, Shotguns, and the WC. I've got two god roll shotguns with maxed out range so it's a one hitter quitter from a long distance.

In Gambit I still use the Sleeper even though they lowered the amount of ammo you get out of the heavy box. That's fine. Still two kills and close the gap with the shotgun or Broadsword.

Other than Hand Cannons there really isn't anything that can compete with Pulse Rifles at medium range. You'll get out shot with a pulse rifle if your using a auto rifle in a medium range fight every time unless you get the drop on them.

Let's put it this way... I've never lost a battle with the new Auto Rifle in PvP.
