I suppose it depends on the roll you get with these weapons. The Swift Ride has the same rate of fire as the Bygones and is very similar. So if you can't get your hands on a Bygones you might get a good roll on The Swift Ride. Thing is... they are not guaranteed drops. You "might" get a weapon out of every 5 or so.

You have 3 months to go for Luna's Howl or The Broadsword. Each update resets your rank so it will reset in February. Remember... if you want the Broadsword you have to reset your rank 5 times in a single season. I reset mine 7 and I play a shit ton of PvP so that should let you know, if you want it you better start now. It took me a week and 3 days to completely reset from zero and that was playing (sometimes) 8 hr days of nothing but PvP.

 

Don't count on it to drop very often. I got a decent roll on one of them but that was just luck. It's a secondary so you'll need a good primary shotgun (Dust Rock Blues or Chapporne). I know a RL, Sniper, and Sub Machine gun drop also.

 

What is resetting your rank? LOL. Does it roll over or something?

 

Each new season resets your glory, valor, and gambit rank. That’s why I laid off my glory rank for the Luna’s Howl. I’d hate to be close to hitting rank and it reset right before I got there. All that time would have been wasted.

 

When you reach max rank in crucibal or gambit hover over them like you're going to start a match and the option to hold down square to reset you valor is displayed.

 

Really quick way to get the Fusion Rifle from the Vanguard. Not a lot of fun I'll admit but if you want it fast and don't like having to run strikes with arc weapons and an arc class then go into the Hallowed Lair NF and just run around and kill everything in the public area that the strike starts in, in the Tangled Shore. You can get all your fusion rifle kills and arc kills really fast that way. You just have to remember if you die you will have the NF timer on you unless someone is nice enough to pick you up. I never died but it was a quick way to do that part of the quest. Also the public event will spawn there so you get plenty of loot in the process. You still have to run 40 strikes but the hard part will be done and they can just be whatever strike you like. Not the Heroic strike playlist. Any strike counts toward your progress.

 

I’m a little late but if you want to play let me know. I’m level 20 I think so far and still not done with this stupid cabal quest line. Once I unlock the tower I think I’m done playing the story on my hunter.

I don’t know your backstory since I joined this thread waaaay late, but is playing this your job? I thought I used to play a lot (4 hours or so a day during the week and way too much on the weekend).

That’s a lot of destiny. For sure more than I could do for fun.

 

Yeah I have all of them. I’m pretty much done on my titan. Well stopped for a bit when red dead came out. But my hunter is a fresh start from d2. I still only have green and blue weapons too.

Oh I just barely unlocked strikes too. Haha

Me and Chemo have been playing a bit and hit 50 but now the grind begins. cant seem to get a decent drop anywhere so only power lvl 506.

 

The $120 + the $4 a month investment is worth it to me. I play so much that I get my money's worth out of the game.

As far as leveling goes... If you have finished the storyline then you will start to get the prime engrams to drop. Those will be your main source of high level gear until you get up higher. Once you can get into the Dreaming City you and do all the Petra's bounties those are your next best drops. Then after that will be the NF. Any other milestones will taper off to maybe just a few levels here and there.

What's funny is the revenue that I make off of Twitch spikes when we do all the D1 Raids in one night. We did that last Saturday night and I made around $100 from subs and people wanting to join. I've been toying with the idea of creating D2 content on youtube but it is pretty saturated right now. If I do decide to go that route it will be more of a comedy type of setup and just us talking shit and showing all our fails. Once Trials starts back up I'll start streaming since that's where the money is at if they reimplement it right (meaning 3v3 elimination).

 

Yeah... there were a lot of people watching. Not sure if you heard me talking to each sub or not? But I was calling them out by name while we were playing. So many wanted to join lol.

 

So picked this up today



The easiest way to get this is to go into the Hallowed Lair NF by yourself and get all your arc kills and fusion rifle kills. Then go into the NF with a buddy and farm the boss. Kill the boss and once the chest spawns kill yourself. It counts as a completion and all you have to do is kill the boss again. Rinse and repeat. You also get the loot from the NF along the way.

The Fusion Rifle is fun to play around with and will clear out trash mobs like crazy if you have a full mag. It's worth getting. It has some pretty stupid range and if you have a full mag it does stupid damage on single targets.

*EDIT* It's essentially a reverse Rampage that causes a large AoE explosion if your mag is full.

 

So nightfall is glitched. Crank the modifier to 110 light and it doesnt make it harder, score 170000 just me and a buddy on warden of none.
Also got wishender, cerberus+1 and queensbreaker tonight! Gonna try Cerberus in gambit for auto kills!
Just need 8 more strikes for the fusion.
Have not done any of the gambit really. Only 3 games and a few auto kills, not sure of a good auto to use.
