I meant to mention earlier. If you are working on your build for armor. Don't spec resilience past 5. Anything you spec past 5 has diminishing returns and you won't notice a difference in crucible. Anything less than 5 and you will notice a difference. If you have less than 5 you can get 2 tapped by a lot of different weapons out there. 5 or more and it will take the same amount of shots to kill you as if you spec'd 10. So this frees up a lot of options to spec in other things. I've spec'd a lot into discipline so my grenades come up every 41 secs. If you max out discipline your grenades can come up at most, every 30 secs. So it's a balancing act on all your stats that you carry on your armor.

One other thing that I didn't know about. But after you hit above 950 base power, your weapons and armor will start dropping at 951-952 to help supplement your other weapons and armor. That's pretty nice once you break the base power cap. My Artifact is + 14 (almost + 15) so that helps also but it will be reset next season so don't be surprised to see your power level drop back down to it's base at the start of next season.

So me and some clan mates did the 100k nightfall at 920, pretty easy if you farm the first nights that make the orbs. Just keep throwing the orbs off the cliff until you reach 30000+ and it's smooth sailing after that.
We then did the master level nightfall ordeel, about 3 hours later we got it done.

Yeah, this NF is a good one to get 100k on. We ended up with 220+k on it. We also did the 980 NF and it took us quite a while. The only real issue was there was one part with 4 Barrier Champions. So we would have to wait until our supers came up and kill them one by one as fast as possible before they threw their barrier up and rehealed. It wasn't as hard as I thought and I ended up with a pair of Lucky Pants (which I quickly infused) and a few other things. Wen't back in later with @Pchop and FINALLY got the Braytech Ospray RL. I've run that strike a thousand times and that was the only thing keeping me from getting the Wayfarer title. So night before last was a very productive night for me. Stayed up all night. Course, it didn't hurt that I was high as fuck either lol.

One thing that I found out that I didn't think that I would like is the Leviathan's Breath Bow. I fucking love that thing and I'm not a bow fan. But that thing has carried me through some of the hardest things to do in the game. I use it in the Pit all the time and it works perfectly for that. It's just a great all around weapon. It won't beat out the Whisper in the raid but for everything else, I never take it off. Another thing that I found out is the Randy's Throwing Knife is the only Scout Rifle that I can find for PvE. It does a shit ton of damage and is a fucking laser beam. It will pick adds off at sniper range and head shot all day. I finally took it back into Crucible this week for IB and it excels there also. It will burn other Guardians down in three head shots or four if you throw in a body shot. And the range is stupid on it. It will truly map people. Widow's Court is my playground with this thing. That said... once they start getting into mid range you better be good with your headshots because if you are body shooting someone it takes six to seven shots and they will burn you down with a Hand Cannon. So the recluse is the go to weapon for mid range battles. That thing is so OP it's stupid.

If you are working on your armor build here are a few things to keep in mind. Resilience should be capped out at 5. Anything more than that has diminishing returns and isn't worth stacking. If you are rocking 5 Resilience you are in the sweet spot for Crucible. Anything less than 5 and you run the risk of getting 2 tapped by most any weapon. Depending on what you want your build to be, should be what you are stacking your mods for. I want a strong Discipline build so I can have my grenades up as fast as possible. I have mine where they come up every 45 secs which is probably as good as I'm going to get since I don't want to take off some of the other mods I have stacked on my character. I miss the D1 days where you could run the Artifact that would take away your super but give you double smoke and double grenades. I had my build where they both would come up every 25 secs and I could keep a map locked down all the time with that build. I got more kills running that than I ever did running a Tether. But the best you can do right now is every 30 secs if you max it out at +10 so it isn't worth stacking for Discipline and losing your other mods. But it's much better than it used to be so I'll take it.

Crucible is the fastest way to do it. You still need to finish the campaign to unlock everything, but crucible is where its at.

@TenBeers and @RearViewMirror and I play all the time.

Iron Banner is where it's at. Regular Crucible gives you the same as running the weeklies for strikes, NF, Nightmare Hunt's, Gambit, etc... So run 4 matches of Crucible and you have your weekly done with that. Drops will be the same level as you are after that. Same with strikes and everything else.

Anything that awards powerful engrams is what you need to go after. Doesn't matter if it's a tier 1, 2, or 3 engram. The first thing you need to do at each weekly reset is pick up all the bounties for the Vex Offensive and run that. Complete the weekly bounties for that and all the associated bounties that go along with that. After you complete that, switch to Vanguard Strikes / NF and complete the weekly bounties and all associated bounties for that. Go to the Moon and complete the Eris weekly bounties and all associated bounties for her. Then go into Crucible and complete the weekly bounties from Shaxx and the associated bounties. You should have them done within 4 matches. Work on the Nightmare Hunts to get the powerful rewards from doing those afterwards. I should mention... Pick up the weekly bounties from the Gunsmith and all the bounties as they are easy to complete and they give you enhancement cores. Do the daily bounties for the Gunsmith each day and you will be rolling in enhancement cores. Also don't forget to go to the Tangled Shore and visit the Spider and pick up 2 enhancement cores as it will only cost you 30 Legendary Shards each day. So enhancement cores are so much easier to get than they have ever been in the past.

Also don't forget if you're in a clan to visit Hawthrone to pick up your free powerful engram for those in your clan that have finished Crucible, Gambit, the NF, or the Raid for powerful engrams. Those are just free engrams that you don't even have to personally earn yourself.

Another thing that you shouldn't neglect is making sure that you are leveling up your season pass as there are some really good rewards for leveling out your pass up to 100. So that should be a main focus of yours also. Don't forget that Planetary vendors give out 3 bounties per day and they are extremely easy to complete and they give you quite a bit toward your Artifact and your season pass. So don't neglect those.

I'm sitting at 136 on my season pass right now. Though anything over 100 gives you nothing extra (which kind of sucks)

As I mentioned earlier in this thread. If you are going for a specific armor build. Do NOT stack anything higher than +5 resilience. Anything past +5 will give you diminishing returns and won't help you one bit in Crucible. What this does is open up slots for however you want to customize your character to fit you personal play style.

One other thing that I forgot to mention on your season pass. DO NOT pick up the armor as it becomes available until you get close to max power (which is 950 base power). Do NOT confuse your power level in yellow with your actual base power level. You will be wasting those armor pieces as they will drop at your current level or maybe one higher.

What I mean by "base" power level is the white number underneath the yellow number. That is your ACTUAL power level. The Artifact is what brings the power level up to however many times you have reset your Artifact. So when next season rolls around you will drop back down to your base power level and start the climb back up with a new Artifact.

So my actual true power level is 952 and not the bonus of +16 which takes it to 968.

The only planet you do not want to visit to do the planetary bounties is Mercury as they just take too long for the little bump in xp that you will get.
