Ran the 980 NF last night and the Scarlet Keep NF is no joke. If I counted correctly there were around 10 barrier champions and 5 overload Ogres placed at the worst spots possible. It was definitely a challenge but it was fun. There is no place to hide in the final room so it really felt like you accomplished something once you finished it. Nothing good in the way of drops unfortunately. Solar and Arc are the only things you need to bring for taking down shields. No Void shields so no Void weapons are "needed". The Recluse kind of bypasses the shields though so that is still a decent option but it would be better to bring matching weapons and at least on person running an overload weapon. In fact, I don't think it will even let you into the NF at 980 without at least one person running an overload weapon. The bow is particularly useful during the NF as it will 3 shot the overload Ogres.

Sounds like someone running Hard Light or Borealis would be beneficial.

Maybe? Thing is, with Hard Light you give up an exotic slot that could be used for a more powerful weapon. But I suppose it would work, you’d just have to make sure you’re running anti barrier rounds on your primary. I wouldn’t waste a slot for the Borealis just for the shield break. Add to that, the Borealis just doesn’t hit that hard.

Our setup last night was: Me running Randy’s Throwing Knife to pick red bar adds off from a distance, the Recluse because it’s just an all around good weapon, and the Leviathan‘s Breath bow for the overload slot. The other two were running Eriana’s vow for the solar shields on the Wizards, an Arc Machine Gun, and snipers in the primary slot. So it was a pretty good setup. One guy had to bounce as soon as we got to the end so we were able to find another but I’m not sure what he was running in every slot. But whatever it was he has Arc and Solar covered so we were good.

The one piece of advice I can give is just take it slow (you probably aren’t going for high score on a 980 on console), take out all the red bar adds then focus on the barrier champions. When the Ogres come up whoever has the overload weapon should focus on them and nothing else as they will come directly towards the team and they are mobile as fuck. That is the hardest phase of the final room as there is nowhere to go and two Ogres spawn so you have to burn them down right then and there so you are busy for a few seconds. A Titan bubble doesn’t work in the final room because the boss has a mechanic where she will spawn a damage dealing AOE under you and will punt you out of the bubble and kill you. So you are constantly on the move the entire time. If you make it through the third phase you’re golden and can just burn the boss down. It’s truly what a NF should be.

All joking aside.... Over the last month or so you've elevated your game tremendously. Hell, you're even playing in comp now (and liking it). Too bad @TenBeers remains our little Upwards Destiny player lol.

You'll need to do the heroic at least 4 times I believe to get the catalyst . I agree though that an exotic is better off somewhere else.

Well me and the clan got to the 3rd encounter in the garden last night. It's challenging but fun. Another try or 2 and we should get it I think. Also found the first three puzzles for the exotic. Sadly you have to do the puzzles in one shot.
Got a set of 955 boots for the titan though. Pretty cool looking!

I think the armor that comes out of this raid really looks good. I'm seriously thinking about deleting my Titan since I never play that class and creating a Hunter that is specifically for raiding since I keep infusing the raid armor into the IB armor that I have. It's about the best set that I have so far.

I really like the IB armor as well. The new vex ornaments are pretty nice too.

IB was sweaty as fuck last night. We went in as a full clan and played 15 matches. 5 we got mercy'd on, 5 we just lost, and 5 that we won. SBMM is a bitch lol. So we only won 33% of the matches we played and lost 66% of them (33% mercy'd us  ). Only went negative once but Jesus... it was worse than comp. At least my k/d went up. Got some good armor and only have one bounty left and I'll be 978-979 which = 958-959 base power so I'll have a good jump start on next season.

I would highly recommend not turning in tokens anymore unless you just have too. They will give you a huge boost for the next season pass. Make sure you are in a fireteam when you do turn them in so you can get the "shared wisdom" buff that adds 10% on top of every bounty that you turn in.

*EDIT* I don't know if anyone has actually soloed the Dungeon or not on console but if they have.... salute :hattip:

A buddy of mine needed to run the dungeon so we decided that we would duo it. Now I've been trying to solo it but I always get killed at the totems. The first encounter is easy as hell and the Ogres den through the cave system pose no real threat once you know the path. But there is just too much shit that are throwing fire balls, shooting shooting at you, having to stand on the plate to keep it active, and then take down the knights and deposit the orbs. We went in and had no deaths until the very end of the totems which wasn't too bad all things considered. But once we got to the boss we got fucked up by him. Took us three tries to get him down and it took three rotations. So... after today I have given up trying to solo the dungeon. I'm just not good enough to do it on console.

PC would definitely be easier since you can key bind macros. That is one reason that the worlds first for any new raid will almost always be on PC first just due to mouse and keyboard is a far superior input controller. But if anyone has gone flawless on console you are the man.

Entire Divinity questline is finished. 7 tether puzzles in the raid and finish off the final boss. This quest was no fucking joke and I'm glad they made it as hard as they did. Won't see too many people walking around with one of these. I've only seen a few in game so it seems it's pretty rare for everyone to finish this quest line and do all the puzzles. Once you are in the raid you have to do every puzzle in order and you can not leave the raid. You have to do it in one setting. If you leave you will have to do it all over again. Took us about 2 hours with all the tether puzzles and finishing the raid so it went pretty quickly. I'm glad this is done as I wouldn't want to do this again.

Also got a God Roll Ancient Gospel Hand Cannon with Slide Shot and Swashbuckler on it. Should be fun in PvP. One of the most stable Hand Cannons in D2. Gun recoils completely vertical with no deviation.

For whoever still reads this thread.

If you are finished up with your season pass (meaning, you have it at 100) I would highly recommend not turning in bounties from this point forward. There are only 8 days left in the season and if you have finished up the season pass, turning in bounties that you pick up will do nothing for you other than level up your artifact (which won't matter in 8 days since it will reset). On this coming Tuesday reset, go ahead and finish up your powerful reward activities to get your powerful rewards. Most likely if you have hit 950 base power you won't be gaining anything from the powerful rewards but you never know what you might be able to infuse into something else to bring up a weapon that you like. But unless you are running Pinnacle rewards, you won't be gaining anything toward your base power level. From this point forward, pick up all the bounties that you can and once you complete them just let them sit in your quest page. Once the reset happens in 8 days for the new season, then turn them all in at once.

*TIP* It is best to turn in all your bounties while in a fire team so you can get the 10% Shared Wisdom buff.

    *TIP #2*
If you aren't in a fire team at the time... You can look for someone that is in your same instance and randomly join on them. Most people don't realize that they have there settings set to "public" so just join on them and turn in all your bounties then leave the fire team. That way you still have the 10% buff for Shared Wisdom when you turn them in even if you join on a complete stranger.

What this should allow you to do is, once the new season starts, you can then turn in all the bounties that you have been saving and it should give you a huge head start on the next season pass and whatever rewards that come along with the next season. It will also give you a huge head start on leveling your new artifact which will definitely be helpful.

Here is why turning in bounties won't do one thing for me right now since I have hit 20 on the Artifact and turning in bounties won't do anything for me right now whatsoever

Started today saving up the bounties to turn in. The only thing I'm unsure of is if the Vex Offensive bounties will disappear once the new season starts since the Vex Offensive is going to disappear also. Suppose I'll find out? But if they do, I haven't lost anything since they don't do anything for me anyway and are easy to complete. The rest of the bounties you pick up from the Vanguard, Crucible, any Shadowkeep (Moon bounties), and any Planetary bounties will still be there since they aren't going anywhere.

Something to think about if you want to get a huge jump on next season and the new Artifact that comes with it.
