They're finally fixing the beagle error in next week's patch. I just got Beagle'd trying to run a nightfall.

It's happened to me twice in about a month or so. The first time sucked since I had to completely redownload the game. The second time wasn't as bad since you can transfer it to an external SSD and back so it's a 10 min fix. Still shouldn't happen though. But, since it did happen I moved quite a few games to the SSD to clear up some space on the PS5 and if I want to play them again, I can just transfer them back. One other thing that I learned was you can play PS4 games directly from the SSD drive so you don't have to transfer them back. The Division 2 is one of those games. The Division isn't going to get a PS5 upgrade so you can just plug in the SSD and play the game directly from the SSD which is a good addition. Only PS5 games have to be transferred back to the console.

Since there isn't too much going on in game right now with the exception of the seasonal event (which I'll probably get around to doing just for the shotgun), me and a buddy played Comp last night. Neither of us have played any Comp this season since there really isn't any reason to unless you want to go for the "Unbroken" title which we both already have. We both started off at 0 around 7:00pm and ended up at a little over 3300 by 9:00pm. Not to bad for a couple hours in Comp. I wish there was a reason to hit 5500 (which we will probably do anyway just for shits and giggles) like there used to be. The chase for The Not Forgotten was one of the best things to go after in the Comp playlist. Now, there's really no reason to even play in the Comp playlist other than it's more fun IMO since SBMM is in effect. Hell... this last weekend was the first time since Trials was reintroduced that I didn't play one card. No reason right now since I have all the god rolled weapons and armor that I can get out of it. We ended up getting @TenBeers Rich in the game last night and played some Elim but Rich sucks ;)

We attempted Master VoG earlier this week but there are only a couple players in our clan over 1340 right now and if your less than 1340... It can be done... you just really have to play smart. Anything under 1340 will one shot you. The thing that really pisses me off about Master VoG is if you complete regular VoG and then try to run it on Master, you get no drops. That would be fine if the "Time Lost Weapon" of the week would drop even if you finished the regular version of VoG and then went back in and ran the Master version. But no... You get nothing except for spoils and that's it if you've completed the raid on regular difficulty first. That's just fucking stupid in my opinion. I'm fine if you run regular first and get all the drops. But the way it should be is, if you run the regular version and get all the drops, fine, you don't get any drops from any chests. But they should allow you to get the "Time Lost Weapon" for completing the challenge on Master. But you get nothing. That makes zero sense and is a fucking dumb decision on Bungies part.

    Yeah.
I don't suck, I just have different goals.

That is shitty that you get no drops on Master. Kind of kills the experience.

You get all the drops on Master. You just have to do the entire raid on Master to get the drops. The drops are no different on Master difficulty than regular difficulty other than the "Time Lost Weapons" which you can only get from doing the challenge of the week (this week is the Gatekeeper Challenge which drops the Time Lost Hezen's Vengeance). If you do the challenge on Normal, you just get two chests to drop. That's it. Everything else is the same whether you do it on Normal or Master. But if you complete the raid on Normal you get nothing if you complete again on Master. That's what sucks. Like I said, I understand if you complete it on Normal and get all the loot from all the chests. You shouldn't be able to loot them twice. But you should be allowed once per character to get the "Time Lost Weapons" by completing the raid on Master even if you have completed it on normal. I've no issue if you don't get anything from any of the chests after completing it on Normal. But it makes no sense that you can't go for the weapons by doing the challenge if you do complete it on Master also.

Played some more Comp tonight and went up against a guy that had over 13,000 snipes on his Adored Sniper. His headshot accuracy was over 80% so it was going to be a sweaty match. Sure enough it was. My headshot accuracy is only 69% between all my snipers.

I broke out the Summoner just to see how well it would do now that they have nerfed 120's some and it actually did really surprisingly well. Doubt I'll keep on playing with it since 120's and now 140's are both in a really good spot. But they are slowly getting the weapon balance down now. So there are a wide variety of weapons that you can use in PvP. Only played 4 Comp matches tonight and won 3. We played the same team twice in a row and they beat us the first time and we beat them the second. So it was an even match. That... is why I like 3's and SBMM.

Anyway... here's the match. We checked after the match was over and he actually has over 16,000 snipes. Over 13,000 just on his Adored. I just tried to stay out of his lanes. Caught his lens flare a couple times but he was never able to snipe me. The last play of the game I don't think I could have played that any better. Blocked off the heavy after it was dropped so there was no way for him to snipe me.

WL melee is fucking broken btw... No way it should lunge as far as it does. Hunters have the worst melee. There's just no way to get two off in time compared to a WL.

    Enjoy...

Few of us are back on PC...

Lots to catch up on between the season, event, and older quests I never finished.
Think I'll be trying to focus on the event and the season first since they won't be around forever.

Also tried playing it on Stadia for the convenience but I'll have to get used to a controller again... It also wants me to buy the expansions again on that console so that's not fun either.

I can't get into the new seasonal event. I just don't care about the armor and I'm never going to get around to leveling it up. Sure, it looks cool and I did it last year but once it was over I never used that armor again.

Honestly right now? Until we get a few more people above the 1340 threshold to run VoG on Master difficulty? I'm just going to stick with PvP. I've got every possible combination of rolls on every weapon out of VoG. I very much dislike how they are handling VoG by locking you out of Master if you run it on regular first. Then when you look at the Time Lost Weapons? You get one more perk column to choose from. I've already got all the God Rolled weapons that you can get out of VoG (including the Mythoclast with the catalyst) that other than just doing it for a challenge? The rewards are lacking.

So we're just playing PvP on the way to 5500 again for something to chase. No real reason other than to say we did it once again. I haven't even run Trials the last two weeks since I have every God Roll from every weapon that you can get out of Trials right now. Until they add more loot to Trials? I probably won't be playing it as much. I dunno? I do love PvP and the run to 5500 is fun. Unfortunately there is no incentive for hitting 5500 but it's something to chase I suppose?

I've been pretty heavy into the seasonal stuff so far. These Expunge things are a pain in my ass.. Kinda sad to find out that some of the weekly challenges are time specific though (e.g. Iron Banana) meaning I won't be 100% complete on the season no matter what unless they bring back Iron Banner within the next month, which I don't see happening because Solstice of Heroes is supposed to go until the end of the season, iirc. At least it'll get my power level up so I'll be ready for next season, right?

I have one piece of armor for Solstice of Heroes complete, couple of the others, I'm just lacking the power level to do the activities..
Did a bunch of Override yesterday to complete challenges, it's like a PvE Gambit.

Haven't run VoG yet because I'll have to LFG a group but I'm looking forward to the nostalgia at least.

Been too busy to look up meta for PvP and what weaps are OP, etc. Done a couple control matches just to get some challenges/bounties done but I haven't gotten sweaty with it or anything yet. Too much to catch up on in the PvE world right now...

We still have well over a month left in this season so IB will be back (maybe even twice).

Wait until you get to the last Corrupted Expunge mission. That one is something. The rest are easy once you figure them out. To complete the Triumph you will need to run them flawless 25 times. I posted a few videos on how and which ones I ran for the flawless Triumph a few posts ago. The only way to really complete the time trial Triumphs on the Expunge missions is to open up all the nodes on the Splicer Gauntlet. It will completely allow you to skip the first part of each mission (everyone is exactly the same at the first part), give you extra platforms to jump to, and make it to where the laser walls won't kill you.

As far as the Solstice armor goes? I just can't get into it. I did every piece last year and the EAZ was cool. Now it's just recycled shit from last year and I just can't get into it. I'll never use the armor so no use in me wasting time on it.

VoG is fun and there are just enough changes to it to make it interesting. It's a nostalgic trip but once you figure it out? It's probably one of the easiest raids they have released in a long time. I suppose the thing that bothers me the most with VoG (Master lockout aside) are the weapons are meh at best. I've got every roll imaginable and none of them are great with the exception of the Praedyth's Revenge Sniper for PvE with Rewind Rounds and High Impact Reserves. Even the Mythoclast (which RARELY drops) is underwhelming but it's damage is bugged so hopefully they change that. I love playing with it, but it has a hard time with regular red bar enemies sometimes.

PvP I think is in just about the best place it's been in a very, very long time. You can take almost any weapon in there now that they have nerfed 120 Hand Cannons and do well (Scout Rifles excluded). High impact Pulse Rifles, Rapid Fire Pulse Rifles, Auto Rifles, 120 - 140 Hand Cannons, etc... Everything is useable with the right rolls (again Scout Rifles excluded).

We played more comp last night and ran against full stacks all night. Made some really good plays but we ended up losing more than we won so it wasn't a very good night for us. Did try out the Plug One.1 Fusion Rifle last night and holy shit, that thing is a fucking beast. I'm not a Fusion Rifle user by any stretch of the imagination but I can make that thing do some work. Hellacious impact and range.

When IB comes back, just make sure you're close to 1320 and you should be fine. We should have at least one more IB this season. It's a great way to level up. PvP in general is the fastest way to gain levels on your season pass since you get so much XP for completing matches.

Ahh, I wasn't sure how often they do IB nowadays.. I've only done the first Expunge so far. I'm ~1280 so I not technically at the recommended level and I also did it solo.. I died a lot. Yeah, I've heard the solstice is a classic Destiny recycle but it's new to me so I want to get it all nice and glowy :p :notsure:

Did they change a lot in VoG or is it the same raid as D1? I remember Mythoclast being pretty good before

Figures I took my Polaris Lance into PvP lmao. I do recall getting smoked by the Chaperone quite a few times.. I still haven't found a setup I really like yet though. All the weapons I liked are legacy now so I can't level them at all lol.

Looking forward to IB for sure. One of my fav events in the game. Should hopefully be up there by the time it comes back.

VoG is essentially the same with a few twists. Once you figure them out? I think it's actually easier than the OG VoG. Master version is obviously harder and you really need to be 1340 or above to really have a chance at not getting on shot by pretty much everything. But VoG is extremely easy once you figure out the changes. We can have it completed in less than 45 mins (hidden chests and all). The Mythoclast in D1 was OP for about a month and if you had one, you pretty much ruled PvP. It was unstoppable. Luckily they reigned it in because it really was stupid strong. I took it in for a few PvP games and while I can make it work, I wouldn't recommend it. I think it was more of a surprise to others when I was using it. But it isn't nearly powerful enough in PvP or PvE right now due to the damage being bugged. There is supposed to be a fix for it in the future so hopefully it will get some love since the drop rate is ungodly low. I think I was lucky enough to get it on around my 30th run through VoG.

With the nerf to Aggressive Frame Shotguns you are going to see Chaperone usage rise since that is the best slug shotgun in the game for PvP. In fact, it topped the list of most used weapons in Destiny Trials Report since the nerf to Aggressive Frames. Unfortunately I suck with it. Not a big deal since I much prefer to use a Sniper.

As far as the weapons you have that were sunset... That was one of the dumbest things that Bungie has done in the history of D2. They have since done away with Sunsetting and reissued those weapons. That is little comfort if you ALREADY had a god rolled weapon that was sunset. Now you have to farm it again.

PvP is still 120's but with the nerf you can no longer reach the ranges you were getting out of them. The damage went from 90 per crit to 80 per crit so it will always be a three tap no matter if you have kill clip or rampage. They are still great, you just have to adjust your play slightly to make them work. If you get a three tap then it still has one of the fastest ttk's in the game. But if you miss one of the crit shots, it jumps up to 1.5 secs. But... what this does is allow you to use a 140 since it also takes three shots (2 crits one body) but they are generally more forgiving to use. The new Croma Rush is one of the best new Auto Rifles in the game (with the right rolls) and it is basically a Sub Machine Gun in Auto Rifle form. It's great to take in 6's. The Summoner Auto Rifle is also back on the table since it's always been one of the more stable Auto Rifles in the game. So there are so many options you can use now that it makes PvP much more fun because you aren't just running against 120's and that's it. I ran Crimson for quite a while last night along with the Adored Sniper and Crimson puts in some work. So you have a lot of options. Just steer away from Scout Rifles. The suck and I don't imagine they will ever make a meaningful comeback in PvP.

Okay cool so I'm not going to have some huge learning curve when I eventually run it lol. Yeah Mythoclast used to be OP as hell for a while.

I suck with Chaperone too lol. I usually run auto/scout for most things unless there's some reason I need something else. Yeah, I had quite a few things that were great that it won't let me upgrade or re-acquire. Pretty frustrating that most things in my vault are now useless. Having some decent PvP auto rifles is nice to hear though. Scout rifles sucking is unfortunate.. Love my Polaris Lance. bring back Hung Jury lol. Guess I'll have to learn how to shotgun slide or something lmao

Nah, once you figure it out there isn't all that much different in VoG vs OG VoG. The Oracles are the main thing they changed. Other than that? Just a few minor changes.

The only time Scout Rifles have any sort of place in D2 is if you are running Master (or Grandmaster) NF's. And then only to deal with the Champions. You don't use a Scout to actually kill the Champions. You use it to either break the shield or stun a Champion (depending on the Artifact mod for the season). Other than that??? I never run a Scout. There just isn't any use. VoC was my baby in D1. I loved that Scout and it put in work. Now? A fucking Submachine Gun will kill more shit in a faster period of time than a Scout could ever think about. Hung Jury is back. You just have to farm the Master (Grandmaster) NF on the week it's dropping. I've got a few just to say that I have them but they are just collecting dust in my vault.

Shotguns are in a weird place right now in PvP. You still see them and they will never go away. But they aren't as prevalent as they were as people are trying out new things. I've never been a huge Shotgun rusher as I much prefer to Snipe. But Sniping is very much a learned skill opposed to being a "W" key warrior with a Shotgun. It took quite a bit of practice to learn to use a Sniper but that's about all I use. I'm sitting at 70% headshot accuracy and that's pretty fucking good. I'll take 2/3rds of my shots being headshots.

But if you want to play PvP you now have quite a few different options. SMG's are good now and compete really well against shotgun rushers. Fusion Rifles are in a good spot and will surprise you just how far they can reach out. So there are plenty of things that you can use to shut down a shotgun rusher. But nothing beats a good sniper. When you can one tap someone across the map or as they are running at you, it turns a shotgun into a useless tool.

    @deadpocketss

This is the week to farm the NF. If you want a Hung Jury it is dropping from The Inverted Spire and that's actually an easy NF to complete. I forget what level you said you were but you should be able to complete it on Hero difficulty without much issue. The key is to kill all of the Champions to get Platinum. It says it's a rare drop and it kind of is. I'd say that on average it drops every 8-10 runs on Hero difficulty. But you can also complete this strike in about 10 mins so it's an easy farm. I've gotten a few of them just to see if I can get one with Explosive Payload and Firefly. Not that I would use it except to run Grandmaster NF's. But that is about the best roll you can get on it. Of course I don't have that roll lol.

Hung Jury was the shit in D1. Especially on Golgoroth in Kings Fall and killing the adds that kept spawning in between damage phases. Unfortunately there just isn't anything that really makes Scout Rifles excel in this sandbox. Although I did kick @TenBeers Rich's ass and a buddy that I play Comp with in private matches on Widows Court last night with the Night Watch just for fun. I will say that it's funny as fuck taking Rich into Elim. His callouts are epic. "He's over there"... "where???" ... "over there by that rock"..."thanks Rich" lol...

    Yeah.
I don't have the cheat sheet for what different areas of a map are called, sounds like just made-up names to me.

    Names you made up lol.

If you say "A", "B", or "C"? we'll know where to go.

Ah, good to know. I'll have to get on it.
Yeah, I had godroll Hung Jury in D1. One of my favorite guns by far. Even if Scouts don't get useful, it'd be cool to have for the nostalgia lol.
