So @TenBeers Rich, Grasty, and I played a bunch of Control tonight. It was sweaty as fuck. It honestly was worse than IB when it comes around. These are the last three games we played tonight. I'm just happy I didn't go negative in any of the matches. It's so hard playing in 6's (which I generally avoid unless IB is up) unless you go in with a full stack. Every game was aggressive as fuck. And to show you I don't always win... The last three matches we lost two out of the three matches.

But my Snipes were pretty much on point.

I couldn't sleep last night since my neck is giving me hell from all the shit that has fallen on my head throughout my career as a FF. I think I've got a bulging disk in the back of my neck since I can feel it sticking out. Looking forward to going to the Dr. to get this looked at  But it's fucking with the nerve that are running down my arms into the middle of my hands.

Anyway... I was on muscle relaxers last night and couldn't sleep so I played Comp all night solo. Made it to 5500 even though I'm not sure why? But it's done. This season was easier than last season for some reason. It was still sweaty over 5000 but I never lost a match after hitting 5000

5500 In Comp. Unfortunately you get nothing for hitting 5500 other than bragging rights.

    @deadpocketss

You were asking about the changes to VoG. This is basically it. When 3 on the team get ported to (what was) Mars or Venus it is an exact replica of the outside Where you fight Atheon. In OG VoG you could shoot the Oracles in any order you wanted. This time you need someone on the outside calling the order and location and then the 3 on the inside shoot those in that order. If not? It's a wipe. We also don't do damage anymore from the center platform since the damage cycle is different. Where you used to have to have someone holding the relic shielding the team, now that we have Well of Radiance you don't really "need" to do that anymore (though it's still not a bad idea).

Anyway... here's a good video since I got ported and also stayed on the outside so you can see what the entire fight looks like

    Yeah.
Yeah, and during damage phase one person gets "marked" and needs to run away from the rest of the team so they don't get trapped in a bubble. I didn't know what to look for, so I probably caused a bubble a few times.

Yeah... that's where the relic holder (usually) is the one to bust them out of the bubble. At the 5:00 mark in the video is when I pop him out of the detainment bubble. It's best to do like he did and move to the side rather than directly in front of Atheon. Atheon has a fucking stomp mechanic like ever other fucking thing in the game and he will either kill you or punt you back through the portal. The main reason we fight on the stairs rather than the middle platform is 1: it's faster for everyone to get to and 2: it gives you more room to move out of the way in case of detainment.

Ugh... I'm on a mission to complete the catalyst for the Mida. The only way to do this is to get 200 precision kills in Crucible. First... this is way out of my comfort zone in the way I play Crucible. @TenBeers Rich, Grasty, and I played some last night and some maps I did fine on. Others??? I just can't find a counter. I will say that the Mida Mini Tool surprised me (as long as you Masterwork it). But it's not my play style. I'm used to Hand Cannons and Sniping and this is neither. I ended up staying up until 1am and started to get the hang of what I need to do but it is not a good dueling weapon. It works as long as you peak shoot it and will 4 tap as long as you land your crits. But like the Randy's Throwing Knife before it, I can't count the number of times that I left an opponent with a silver of health only to get away. Scout Rifles just aren't made for this sandbox and finishing this will be brutal. But since there isn't much going on in the game, this is the last Masterwork that I need to finish. Every other Exotic Weapon that has a Catalyst has been Masterworked. But for a dueling weapon? It sucks. Especially if you miss your crit shots. I quit last night at 101 crit shots so I'll finish it up today. Though I'm not really looking forward to it.

Fuck me.... Finished up the Catalyst for the Mida yesterday. I don't know why I've had a bug up my ass about Masterworking every Exotic Weapon in the game that can be Masterworked but I'm done with all of them. I suppose it's because there is downtime in the game right now with nothing much to do?

Running Mida (to me) is fucking brutal. Saying that... The Mida was one of my favorite weapons in D1 along with the VoC and Hung Jury. There are decent Scout Rifles in the game but the Mida, for what it does, is probably the best. Great stability, Radar stays active when ADS, increased movement speed (especially if your running the Mini Tool as a secondary), and it's a 200 rpm. But even with all of that going for it? SCOUT RIFLES SUCK!!!! There is no other way around it. In D2.... Scout Rifles suck. There isn't anything that they do in the game that another weapon can't do better. Almost any type of weapon will outperform a Scout Rifle in D2.

In PvE... The only reason to ever use a Scout Rifle is to either stun or break a Champions barrier. That's it. Nothing else. There is literally no reason to run a Scout Rifle in any other activity.

In PvP... There is zero reason to run one. If you watch the video below you will see how many times someone is able to get away with a sliver of health left. Watching the video, I see the mistakes that I make. If you were to record each game you would always see that you could have done something better. But running a Scout means you pretty much have to play the outside of the map looking in almost the entire time. Scout Rifles are HORRIBLE dueling weapons. It's optimal TTK is 1.2 secs with 3 crits and 1 body. That's fucking horrible and one of the reasons you will see many players get away. If you miss a crit, then the TTK jumps up to, well... it doesn't fucking matter because you're fucking dead in a duel. But... after 26 games and 200 headshots later, the Catalyst is done and the Mida is back in the vault.

Sorry... missed this yesterday. Played Trials all afternoon today. I can play tomorrow since we don't have anything going on here as far as I know. Just hit me up if I'm not on or if I'm playing Diablo III. I'll be around.

Sorry, just saw this. Had a last minute run to Atlanta yesterday that took up most of my day.

I'm off work tomorrow.. may try to run a few more before the reset. RNG weapon drop hasn't been the greatest for me.

Totally worth running this week on Master VoG. This is the only weapon I wanted that was a TimeLost weapon.

    Killing Wind - Kill Clip
    Explosive Payload - Firefly

Great PvE or PvP Hand Cannon.

Should have played with us tonight @TenBeers

Only had one bad game the entire night. The first game Grasty's TV decided it wanted to reboot and just display the Sony icon and we got dropped in with only 4 on our team (so basically 3 since he couldn't see what was going on). After that match we destroyed almost everyone we played agains. I decided to break out the Messenger and with Desperado proc'd, it's a beast. Haven't played around much with it and not really sure why? Felwinters is still the shit... Don't care what anyone says. It's still one of the most consistent Shotguns in the game.

Second match of the night. It went like this almost all night long.

    @TenBeers

    Here you go Rich.

Got to say that The Messenger is a pretty nice change of pace from playing around with Hand Cannons. I played almost all of this IB this last week with it and it's a beast. Course, it doesn't hurt that this is a God Roll with Outlaw / Desperado (just like the Redrix used to have) on it. Only went negative two times during IB this last week. Might start playing around with this thing some more.

God... it is miserable when we play with art. He's a nice guy but he is horrible at the game. He's always been horrible. When we were running The Leviathan Raid way back he would stay in the throne room before challenge mode was introduced. All he had to do was take care of either the left or right side adds and I'd punch the Psions as they were called out and clear adds in the middle. He kept on punching the wrong Psion when they would call them out. I asked him to just focus on the adds and I'll take care of the rest. But he kept on doing it. This went on 6 - 7 times and I finally asked him "ARE YOU TRYING TO PISS ME OFF? IF SO YOU'RE DOING A DAMN GOOD JOB OF IT" "STOP PUNCHING THE GODDAMN PSIONS". He said "But I'm supposed to". I about lost my shit on him. "No... the fuck your not!!!". Only time in a fucking game that I almost lost my shit on someone.

I saw he signed up for the raid tonight and knew it would be bad. We can have VoG done in about 30 mins. 1 hr and 42 mins later we got it done. I ended up with 603 kills with a 37.69 k/d in the raid (would have been a lot higher had he not been there). He had 132 kills with a 5.32 k/d in a PvE activity. How the fuck does that even happen? How do you only get 133 kills in a raid?
Oh... I know... because you're always fucking dead. Fuck :annoyed: He caused us to wipe 12 times at Atheon due to us running out of rezzes to get him up.

I don't mind helping people that have never done the raid before go through it. I'm patient since I know how it feels when your new to a raid. But he isn't fucking new!!!! Fucking miserable.

Haven't been able to get into Trails this weekend since I'm helping my parents move to a new house. But it seems like from all indications that Trials is in the best spot it's ever been in now. No more cheating / recoves and they have made it much more accessible to the casual player to stick around and play even if they aren't on a Flawless card. I really like the changes they have implemented and here's to hoping that the player pool will be much larger than facing off against the same teams that I've played against for over the last year. I'm looking forward to playing hopefully Monday.

Btw.... The Vex is the top weapon in Trials which should come as no surprise. What is surprising is no one is sniping. There are no Snipers in the top 10 on Destiny Trials Report. Since Trials is on Burnout this weekend that is a bit surprising. There can't be that many people with a Vex in game due to the low drop rate. I know I'll be running the Vex along with the new Fractethyst Shotgun or possibly the Multimach CCX. I'm glad to see that Shotgun aping has slowed down and Subs and Sidearms are usable now. Looking forward to getting back in there.

Played a bit of trials last night myself. It was enjoyable, less sweaty than previous iterations.

The vex dominance is definitely noticeable and burnout is such a passive map. You just have to play patient and wait for someone to make a mistake and capitalize. I myself have... 88 vog clears, 10 of them on master, 52 of them unique lootable clears... still no vex mytho.

Ended up playing last night with a friend and another in our clan that isn't very good. I love the new reward structure and how they have changed up everything. We were able to carry him to 7 games until we got beat on our mercy. Not bad since he's never been in Trials before. I was worn out from moving my parents last night but ended up staying up until midnight because it is so much more enjoyable.

I know the feeling on the Vex. I've got 41 clears so far with 7 on Master. Got the Vex on the 31st clear. During original VoG in D1 it took me 52 clears to finally get the Fatebringer to drop. Got a God Rolled Timelost Fatebringer my first time running Master VoG this time so I can't complain. But yeah, Vex is good in PvP right now. We ran into it a few times last night but since the drop rates are so low for it, it wasn't every game.

The thing that I'm most happy about is people in our clan that never wanted to set foot in Trials now want to. The new reward structure is great for those that just want the loot. Me and one other friend are the only ones that are interested in Trials and even he hasn't wanted to play much. But he is just as good as I am and we carried another to 7 games on our first card. So I'm happy with the new changes.

Oh I forgot... One other thing that I'm really liking is crossplay. I NEVER thought I'd say that. But having the ability to play Trials against those on Xbox along with PS? That was a brilliant move and with the reintroduction of Trials this season and all the updates, that is one of the best updates that Bungie has put out. Well over half the matches we played last night were against players on Xbox or a cross between Xbox players and PS players. That opens up the player pool to such a large section of players that I doubt I'll have to play against the same teams that I've been playing against for well over the last year. I love Trials and is one of the main reasons I play Destiny. Now it is even better.

To think that a couple years ago I wished for nothing more than for Bungie to fail after so many disappointments. Hell... I quit the game for over a year before coming back. If the update they made to Trials has made the others in our clan want to finally play then I will really look forward to each weekend knowing that I'll be spending more time in Trials helping out others with their flawless cards rather than just running my own flawless card. I had more fun last night in Trials than I've had since D1 Trials.
