Prisms I generally earn by getting headshots in PvP. At least that's the way my Ghost is set up. This for instance.

If the NF is one I'll actually run then I can pick up Prisms just by running it on Hero difficulty. 90% of the time Prisms drop at the end and you don't need a Fireteam to run Hero. I refuse to run the NF this week but it's not a big deal since I have plenty of Prisms. Ascendant Shards I'll get from going Flawless in Trials. I "generally" have around 15 or so between my characters. My postmaster has around 5-6 in there all the time. I just have to remember to not let it fill up and push them out (ask me how I know ). But Enhancement Cores are used the most by Masterworking Weapons. And since I Masterwork so many weapons I figured I'd show a simple / fast way to farm them. That literally took about 10 mins. You just have to make sure you pop a Finest Matterweave each time you see one drop. I've got somewhere around 1500 Enhancement Cores but you can never have too many. Especially since I still have over 100 Finest Matterweave.

 

Nice! I've been using Cortesean or Null composure. Pretty good rolls. Enough to go against shotgunners pvp.. hehe

 

I bet I've had well over 100 Cartesian Coordinate's drop for me and none of them have had decent rolls. Course I look at it from a PvP perspective. The best I've had drop had high impact reserves which is one thing you would want in PvP (since it would be active all the time) but it had shit range and a reload masterwork

Null Composure is a great PvE Fusion Rifle and it certainly isn't bad in PvP. The issue with Null Composure is it has Revisor Burst which is only active if you have a full mag so that is wasted in PvP. It's still a good alternative in PvP if you don't have a god rolled Main Ingredient and I have been killed by it. But that Timelines' Vertex is truly a god roll. It's about time as I was tired of getting mapped with Main Ingredient lol.

How is it on GM? Doable for a 1350? I need to stock up on ascendant shards.. what is the adept weapon this week?

 

GM this week is The Corrupted and the weapons are the Hung Jury Scout Rifle or the Hothead RL Scouts suck right now and if you have GH there is no need banging your head trying to get a tracking Hothead to drop.

I HATE The Corrupted just as much as I hate Exodus Crash that I'll be skipping this week also. It's doable at 1350 with no issue on GM. If you have a competent team then it should take you around 20-30 mins to run it. You only have 45 mins to actually complete it to get the drops. You also only have so many times you can die before using up all your lives (you gain a life back for each Champion you kill). If you wipe? You start over. This strike (to me) sucks so much that I drop out of it each time I see it come up on the map while flying in just running regular strikes. I'll never do it as a GM.

My advise? If you really need ascendant shards is to skip the NF this week unless you just like punishment. I know it costs a lot of resources to buy one from Banshee but IMO, I would rather farm other materials and then buy them from Banshee if I were running short. You can do the method of farming cores that I posted to turn in for prisms. Once you get enough prisms you can buy ascendant shards. The only limiting factor is glimmer at that point. But if you catch a day that Spider is selling glimmer for Legendary Shards then it is cost effective. If you catch a day that he is selling a planetary resource and exchanging them for glimmer, pretty much the same thing. If not? just wait until the next day. Is it fast doing it this way? Nope. But I'd rather put my dick in a vice than run this strike. That's just me though lol.

Honestly? Do the new Dungeon on Master. It doesn't take much longer than running it on regular and your equipment isn't locked like it is in a GM NF so you can change weapons and subclasses for each encounter. I've gotten an ascendant shard each time we've killed the Ogre. The weapons that drop from there are more useful also. Plus... the new dungeon is a lot of fun.

 

I have a friendly disagreement with one of our clanmates over which title is harder to complete for your character. He contends that the "Conqueror" title is the hardest title to get because you have to run all the NF's on GM. And though I agree that you have to know what you are doing, what to bring, what mods to use, and what subclasses to run... Once you figure it out it is no harder than running a Raid once you figure it out. Fuck... we run VoG and complete it within 30-40 mins now. Master within an hour.

My contention is either the "Unbroken" title or "Flawless" title is much harder to get because each match you play is dynamic and not static. Plus, there is another person on the other end that you are playing "against". You can memorize every encounter in a PvE activity. You can't predict exactly how a team or another person is going to play. You can only judge their skill level if they are in the same skill bracket as you.

A Glorious Legend requires you to reach a Glory rank of Legend (5500) in three separate seasons. If this sounds daunting, that's because it is. A Glorious Legend is by far the hardest Triumph associated with "Unbroken" and takes almost a year to complete just because of the way the seasons are set up. I've gilded the "Unbroken" title twice so far.

"Flawless" title is just as hard as it requires you to complete a Flawless run on each individual card (considering most only pick Passage of Mercy you can see why this would be hard). Not only that but you have to "carry" someone that has never been to the Lighthouse after you have gone to the Lighthouse three separate times all while wearing a specific emblem which I have forgotten to put on in the past so it didn't count. That's not including all the rest of the triumphs you have to complete. Those are just the hardest. I have the "Flawless" title gilded once.

So my contention is either of those two titles are the most exclusive in the game. His contention is "Conqueror" is the hardest. I disagree.

 

Speaking of PvP. These were all my games last night. Bungie HAS to do something with the spawn locations. First, and I don't know why they did this? They have implemented a longer respawn timer to 5 secs if you die. What this allows is the enemy team to cross the map and flip spawns to where you have no chance of spawning without enemies around you. And the same goes vice versa. We (I) have flipped the spawns only to have an enemy spawn on our side of the map and get destroyed. It is a stupid mechanic that is unfair to both teams.

I switched to Elimitaton and played three games last night and won each one since it is set up just like Trials. This is why I much prefer 3's over 6's anyday right now.

And just to show that sometimes I just have a shit match. This was a full 6 stack we ran against and they destroyed us. .29 ugh.... Haven't had that bad of a match in I can't remember when? But I got stomped into the ground. Couldn't kill shit. Think I had two kills the entire match.

Yah, I agree so I just ended up doing it Master with my bro. Besides it was double loot NF and I picked ascendant shards out of it and enhanced prisms after few runs... Was gonna send you an invite if you wanted to join in but you logged out by then. Might do the new Dungeon on master tonight..

I should have mentioned that master NF also gives materials. Just not a guaranteed shard every run

 

So the new power cap for The Witch Queen will be 1550 with a hard cap of 1560. Same as it's always been with the power grind. Not a big deal since you will earn most of those levels while playing the campaign. It's kind of funny that everyone will start out (whether you've played or have taken a break from the game) at 1350 base power. That's 20 higher than the power cap right now. I should hit 1370 today (because of the artifact). I "might" hit 1372 and 800 on the season pass before The Witch Queen but we'll see?

With Void 2.0 coming out I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which character to level first? The raid comes out on 3/5/22 and I'm thinking a WL with a Well will still be relevant and most likely required during certain parts of the raid. But I focus on PvP builds more so I just don't know? I see a lot of potential with each class. "Usually", if it works in PvP, I can make it work in PvE by just changing a few mods on the armor. I've got the stats I want on all my armor so that shouldn't change. Plus it's all Trials armor so I'm not replacing any of that (time to stock up on enhancement cores now more than ever so you can buy upgrade modules). One thing is for certain... we will see nothing but Void builds in PvP for quite a while.

 

Oh... One other PSA. If you are holding Gunsmith materials start turning them in now. The will go away with the release of The Witch Queen. I've got to spend at least an hour turning in thousands of materials today. You might get a god rolled weapon but more than likely you will just end up deleting them and turning them into Legendary Shards and the vast majority will also return an enhancement core. So that's also a good way to farm enhancement cores. As the time gets closer, make sure you stock up on bounties that are not being put into the DCV. The last week or so make sure you stock up on the Weeklies, dailies, crucible, gambit (if that's your thing) bounties, etc... if you want to get a jump on leveling your new artifact.

So... We played a bunch of private matches tonight and set them up just like Trials is set up. I had Rich @TenBeers on my team and my other two friends are 5500 players that I've gone Flawless with. Rich is a BOSS lol. It was funny as fuck playing tonight.
