Do NOT pick up any bounties from the Tangled Shore as those will automatically be deleted from your inventory since the Tangled Shore is going into the DCV. Make sure to pick up the Weeklies from the Moon. Both from Eris and the table next to her.

 

Yeah, my main is already almost full, looking for those XP++ bounties to stack up. I lucked out and got all 3 Pinnacle drops I needed to hit the cap, and in the process hit +20 Power. So now it is just stacking up bounties I guess.

 

That’s really all I’m doing right now. My Titan is full. My WL is mostly full. My Hunter has quite a few. All I’m doing now is running VoG, the dungeon, clan bounties (since they give you a lot of XP), chasing god rolled weapons, and PvP. Nothing really to do right now other than to set yourself up for when The Witch Queen launches.

Have been playing a shit ton of private matches but I think they are getting tired of my PvP build lol. “Fucking Arc Buddies”

 

Speaking of builds... If you happened to watch the last private match video or any of the Trials run I posted you will see why I'm in no hurry to get rid of my armor and the way it is set up. It's really a stupid build and infuriating to play against. Each Arc Soul volly hits for 44 damage. That means if you are running a Hand Cannon it is an automatic two tap no matter what. Add the Messenger that I've got that will two tap with two full crits and you can see why this build is crazy. You can tell in Grasty's voice he's getting irritated with it. It is obnoxious I have to admit.

But... You play with with you are given. He's one of only 12 people that plays "Blink" in the game on his WL lol. He has locked himself into that build and it has worked great for him for a very long time. If he's able to close the distance on you, there isn't a lot you can do about it. That's why you see me play him just outside of his Last Word distance. He's played that way for so long that I know exactly how to counter it when I come up against someone running it in Crucible. The issue is... I've go a build that will outplay his build 90% of the time and he won't adjust. I completely agree that it is a bullshit cheese build but it turns you into a one man wrecking army (especially in PvE). It flinches you so much that it's hard to land a head shot. As far as sniping goes... He's about the best sniper that I've played against in the game. I would avoid sniper lanes at all costs when playing against him. Now? I'll challenge every time.

This WL build makes Trials cards go pretty damn smooth. Not saying that I don't get outplayed. Obviously I'm going to match up against players that are much better than me and don't give a shit about this build. But most people that run this run the Stag instead of Getaway Artists. The issue with running the Stag is you have to stay in your rift to take advantage of the damage reduction. I'm not going for damage reduction. I'm going for all out damage output. Which is why (even after the subclass rework) I'm still able to alternate between eating my grenade and dropping my rift. I can have Arc Souls up 90% of the time even after the rework. I drop a rift as a fall back point but more importantly, to give myself and anyone on my team that passes through it Arc Souls. Since I'm running double Bomber Mods on my class item, everytime I use my class ability (drop a rift) it refills my grenade ability. Which means I'm almost never without Arc Souls.

The way I look at it is, as long as La Monarch, Jotuun, and Xur's Main Ingredient are in the game? I'm going to take advantage of a build that is hard to play against. Besides... The super on this class requires you to time it just right. Otherwise you will get burned down so fucking fast that you won't even know you popped it. It's a strong super if popped correctly. But also one of the easiest to shut down.

 

So . . . share this build! I keep Getaway Artist on my Warlock but mostly run the Transversive Steps.

 

Transversive steps are okay... They make you move faster and reload your weapon while sprinting. Other than that???? Nothing. Not a top tier exotic by any stretch of the imagination.

There are so many better options out there. I run Getaway Artists just to eat the grenade. As long as your Discipline is 80 or above and run double Bomber on your class item (Class item needs to be set to Solar to run the Bomber mod) you will almost never be without a Arc Soul. It benefits not only you but your teammates that choose to run through your rift when you drop it. If you watch the Trials card above, you can see that I drop a rift before we get into a fight to give my teammates Arc Souls. I'm not doing it for the healing though that does come in handy. I'm doing it for the continuous damage output.

With Getaway Artists, it gives you 15 secs of Arc Souls. Dropping a rift running bottom tree Arc gives you Arc Souls for 12 secs IIRC? Running double Bomber mods give you your grenade ability back. So you just swap back and forth. Rift, Getaway Artists, Rift, Getaway Artist, Rift... well you get the picture.

are you more a pvp or pve player?

 

PvP by far. Trials each weekend and Crucible throughout the week. This will be the first season that I haven't concentrated on hitting 5500 in Comp. There's just no incentive to do so since they took pinnacle weapons away. Made it to 4500 but that was just playing to be playing. Since I got the "Unbroken" title I just concentrated on gilding the title and that's about it. Gilded it twice so far and gilded the Flawless title once.

But I run PvE also with the clan just for fun. VoG is still fun even though there is nothing I can get out of there that I don't already have multiple copies of. But PvP 90% of the time. Videos are on the pages before this one. I record and stream every match. Especially Trials.

 

Very nice. I was never very good at D2 PVP. Was a weird change where the weps you had made such a difference. I tanked all my kds from doing challenges and bounties in almost all the game modes I'm still a good shot and can hold my own from playing other shooters but I've never gone flawless. I play mostly pve content like raids and GMs

When PvP first came out for D2 it sucked balls. Double primaries with no random rolls? I don't know what the fuck they were thinking? I went Flawless in Trials of the Nine 18 times but gave up on that game mode because it sucked so bad. The other reason, at the time, if you went Flawless in Trials of the Nine then your clanmates could get a weapon drop from someone going Flawless. That was total bullshit to me. I do the work and you get a free weapon without having to step foot in there? Fuck that noise.

Trials is now in the best place it's been ever IMO. I've gone Flawless 71 times now. I've only missed one weekend since Trials was reintroduced. I'm ready for next season since there should be some new weapons to chase since they are vaulting the Hand Cannon and the Sword.

I will very rarely do a GM NF. If I do it has to be the right one like Lake of Shadows. GM's are just fucking boring to me. It's just a war of attrition. I find no fun playing those. Raids on the other hand I love playing. And the new Dungeon is a lot of fun.

I did do the Legend Lost sector on my Titan last night to get The Path of Burning Steps boots. It was the only exotic that I was missing since starting a Titan. Now they will drop as a world drop. The ones I got had pretty shit stat distribution so I’ll wait until a better pair drops. That is something else you can do while waiting. Legend Lost sector’s aren’t very hard. Just have to have the mods equipped for whatever champions are in there.

 

They'll drop as a random exotic drop now? That's news to me.. I still need that one.

 

I tried one once with the wrong loadout. Bad idea. Major fail. I corrected it and went back in, it was sweaty at times but not too hard.

I've been going through the campaigns on the Titan I started, just blazing through but enjoying the story again. It's something to do, anyway.

 

They drop in the wild "once" you get them to drop from the Legend Lost Sector. Other than that? You have to earn it first. It can drop on the first run through the Lost Sector (like it did last night for me), or it can take a while to drop. I've had good luck with the drop rate. Even though it says it's a rare drop, it "usually" drops within the first or second run. But when I was going for the Precious Scars helmet it took probably 15 runs. That was starting to get frustrating. But after it drops? It can drop anytime in the wild or when Xur comes and you buy the random exotic from him.

*EDIT* It will NOT drop as a world drop until you earn it first from the Lost Sector. You HAVE to get it to drop on the day that legs are dropping from whatever Legend Lost Sector. Once it drops... THEN it can drop as a world drop any time an exotic drops in the wild. You'll notice that Xur never sells exotic items that must be earned. This is no exception. If you have earned it though, it has a possibility of dropping for you if you buy the random exotic engram from him. But that's a longshot.

 

I'm going to link this video below once again now that we have more clarity on how weapon crafting works in the upcoming Witch Queen expansion.

Enhancement Cores are going to be crucial and we will need A LOT of them. You get these very often from just breaking down legendary items. I HIGHLY recommend turning in every Gunsmith material before the launch since all Gunsmith materials will be going away. I turned in almost 25k of materials last week and I already have a shit ton more to turn in. You "might" get a god roll of a weapon but if not? Just break it down and very often you will get an Enhancement Core. I'm guilty of just deleting Umbral Engrams because I can't be bothered by going to the Helm. Not anymore.... I'll go decrypt them just so I can get the cores out of them.

But... If you have a shit ton of Finest Matterweave on your character, then I highly recommend you spend some time doing this method. It's quick and you are almost guaranteed to get a core each time the Knight spawns. Once again... this was less than 15 mins worth of time. Yeah... It's boring. But you're going to need them. I've not found a quicker way to get a shit ton in a very short amount of time.

Okay... Little update on the Enhancement Core farm. You will have to search for the chests on the moon. They do not always spawn in the same areas on the map. But once you find one just shoot it out of sequence. I started off with 1240 Cores and ended up with 1362 after using all my Finest Matterweave. Took a little over 30 mins to finish. Something else of note. This is also a good farm if you are running low on Glimmer. You can pop a "Rainmaker" (I'm sure we all have hundreds of those in our inventory) and it will drop extra Glimmer also.

Haha... I haven't played much Trials this weekend since I've been stocking up on everything getting ready for the expansion. Decided to jump into Freelance Trials last night for a while. There is nothing I need out of Trials as I have every roll possible of each weapon. But I figured I'd keep the Trials Engrams for next season since they are releasing new weapons once the expansion drops. Figured I'd play and see how far I could go. Ended up getting knocked on the 5 round of the card. No biggie... I try again today. I kind of had mixed emotions about Freelance Trials but I just went into it last night figuring if I go Flawless cool. If not? I'll go Flawless today.

But I thought this was funny. Right after I killed this dude on the first round he started messaging me throughout the match. I know what he's doing. I'm not stupid. He's trying to throw me off my game and get me to respond. In reality, all it made me do was head hunt him the entire match. I ignored some I could have killed just to go out of my way to kill him. He never once killed me.

Haha... .67 there's something to be proud of. I thought about messaging him afterwards but I figured I'd let him stew on that. I checked his stats and he's been Flawless one time so I suppose that makes him a god lol. My guess is he got carried. Best part? My Arc Souls didn't really come into play as I sniped him every time.

I know my build is frustrating to play against. I main a Hunter and Hunters are easy mode in Trials. But a while back I wanted to switch things up and play the WL to see if I could go Flawless with that class. Turns out I've created a frustrating build for others to counter. But it's in the game just like Jotuun and La Monarch and Shatter Dive before the nerf. If it's in the game? It's fair game to use. You play what is going to lock up that win. After playing Trials for over 5-6 years now I've figured out that there is some luck involved but it's also a game of skill and strategy. I don't pay that much attention anymore to what someone is running. I just know that I'll have to counter it and close the gap on certain builds or weapons.
