Bungie's Destiny

Scout rifles are nice. I like Vision of Confluence because as a primary it deals flame damage, which makes it useful on Cabal and wizards in PVE. I like to use snipers every so often as well. They are useful, but not entirely functional in up close and personal dog fights. Ice Breaker is fun as hell to use, I don't have the Black Hammer or Fatebringer though, and never have. I just won Hard Light not too long ago, and that one as an Auto Rifle, looks even more promising then the Suros Regime, definitely not as common.

 

VoC is a awesome Scout rifle. I've got it on all three characters and still use it. Up until I picked up the Black Hammer yesterday I only used the IB for sniping. I had 2 leveled before Xur sold them a few weeks ago and now everyone has one. I honestly hope he never sells the GH otherwise the game will turn to easy mode. Got the Word of Crota Hand Cannon and it is pretty damn good. One step below the Fatebringer I would say. But man... a primary fusion rifle that melts mobs face's off... yeah, count me in on the vex. My character has turned into a one man wrecking crew. 27 shots in a row on the Archon priest without reloading. Had him down in about a min. Fucking amazing.

Lol gawddamn. That Vex fusion rifle is ridiculous. There comes a certain point where it is spam though. On PVE the thing rocks. In multiplayer though its a little unfair so I'll go after those dudes using them with my thorn or my suros. If not I'll just charge at them with my Titan. I use a zig zag pattern and then they have a difficult time hitting me. Lmao. I'm currently trying to get my Hunter to Lvl. 20 then I'm going to outfit him with all the legendary gear I won for him and rank him stupid fast. I'm at 18 and rising quick. I was just at 12 this morning until about 4:00PM playing nonstop. Hahaha.

I think between me and 2 other guys we trashed the archon priest in 2 or three minutes. I was hittin him with my unfriendly giant nonstop for 7 shots in the face, hit him with my arc grenades with my Titan and then use my Y-09 Longbow sniper to finish him off. I like to fly over the enemies and Fist of Havoc their head. They can't damage me that way. Lmao. Thats why I love playing nightfall now. Before I had such a hard time at level 26 due to obvious reasons, but now its no problem because I got the level and weaponry to wipe them out fast due to the different elemental damages enabled. So much fun!

 

I usually take the Suros into Crucible. Haven't taken the Vex yet. I can't really find a reason to play Crucible at the moment. What I wish they would do is make the Iron Banner Armor level to 32. That way those that don't wish to play the raids would still be able to get to level 32. Iron banner relies on skill AND stats. Sure it would be unfair for those just starting out but so are the raids until you learn them. You have to pay your dues either way.

I personally enjoy the raids and like the feeling of accomplishment when finishing one. I've had good luck this week with weapons and armor. I will say, if you can get your hands on a Black Hammer by all means do so. It is the most OP weapon in the game IMO. 27 straight shots to the Archon Priest and he was down. Taking the tank down in Valus Ta'aurc goes in less than 30 secs. Landing critical hits and never having to reload is a great perk.

As far as the Vex goes... It only took me 4 months to get one so I'm gonna use the shit out of it lol.

 

I will say one thing though... I have no reason to go back into Crota's raid anymore as I have got everything out of it other than the Crux of Crota (to make the husk of the pit exotic) and the scout rifle that drops there. Come to think of it I really have no reason to go into VOG at all.

I'll still do both to help others get their gear but as far as my characters are concerned I'm geared out until the expansion.

*EDIT* One thing I don't understand. I finished the entire Crota raid 3 times on the same character on regular mode and once on HM. Went in last night to help a mate of ours and still got the gauntlets? How does that work?

 

First things first. I cannot WAIT until House of Wolves comes out. I will pay every penny for the expansion and am excited to see what else Bungie has up their sleeves. As far as the Suros goes its an awesome gun, the biggest gripe (and not even mine, its from everyone whodoes not have it) is that its too much like a Scout and Auto rifle at the same time because its so damn accurate and does thsame damage as the Scouts. I could see why it angers people. As far as the raids go though, its based upon a random loot drop algorithm. Whether you are on HM or NM does not matter which I think they do need to fix, though when on HM the chances of receiving Vex or Black Hammer increase exponentially. I received two Gjallarhorns in the same week one time. I ended scrapping one for an exotic shard later on and if I continue with this bounty, I will have two Thorns. Lol. I do like how finishing raids and strikes make you feel at the end of them. Especially when its a character like the Archon, Valus Ta'aurc or Omnigul. You know, the spongecake bosses, and anything that brings them down way quicker is AWESOME. So I'm all for trying to take them down quickly.

 

I thought the Vex only dropped in HM? I've never seen it drop in regular though I've seen the GH drop many times in either mode.

 

Hows the vex unfair in pvp? Because some of us worked really hard at doing the raid enough times to get one but pvp players havent?

The vex is fun in the crucible. Its what i use. I probably wont ever touch the suros again.

It is a atheon hard only drop. GH is random though and can be either difficulty because it is included with the exotics that are random.

 

There you go That's kind of what I thought.

Once again... I quit the Crucible as there is nothing there work taking (other than the random exotic). Armor isn't up to par and other than shooting others in the face I've got no reason to go. If they make the Iron Banner level 32 I'll start again.

Its unfair because its rate of fire is unlike any other gun or fusion rifle out there. And its not only fast, but very overpowered when it comes to how many shots you can put someone under in. Lol thats why I go after the guys using the Vex. You guys are my targets

So much so huh! The Thorn requires skill in order to be overpowered in the Crucible though. If you can headshot someone then it works well. If you don't it takes multiple shots just to kill them off

The raid can be time consuming if you have the wrong team and not everyone who you usually raid with are not on when you are on. The random loot reward system doesn't make it any easier as well. That's my point.

 

Took me 4 months to get the vex. Got all the weapons and armor from Crota in 2 weeks

 

Exactly my point of why the gun is well deserved and shouldn't be handed out during pvp
