Burdick Toyota in NY sleazy sales tactics

Shady sales tactics. I went to Burdick Toyota on June 7th and made a deal and signed a purchase order for a 2019 Toyota 4runner. They did not have the 4runner I wanted in stock and said they could order me one. We agreed on a price, I put a $1000 dollar deposit down and signed purchase agreement for the amount we agreed on the 4 runner. I ordered the 4runner on June 7th and was told the 4runner wouldn't be in untill mid September. Almost 3 weeks after I place my order the shady salesman calls back and says we made a mistake and cant honor that price , we quoted you the wrong vehicle and now it will be thousands more for the 4runner that we had a signed purchase agreement on. Long story short I'm getting my deposit back and will never deal with the sleazy, slimy, salesmen at Burdick Toyota ever again. That's not right to wait 3 weeks later to call and say you messed up and it will be thousands more. I've bought 2 Toyotas from Burdicks before and this would have been my 3rd Toyota from them. I will NEVER do and business with these dishonest slime balls ever again.
Just giving the heads up that these are the games they will play, I hate dishonest sleazy salesman and just wanted to get the word out.

 

Has anyone had anything like this happen before? I talked to a buddy of mine that bought a car from them years ago and he said they tried to pull the same shit on him. Signed paperwork, money down , loan approved. Then when he went to pick the car up same bullshit of we made a mistake and need to charge you thousands more.
