A couple of you may know this truck is new to me, and I still have a lot to learn about it. My Dodge 2500 has the posi-track. It spins both back tires.
If you look at the picture above, the driver's side of this Tacoma's wheel grabs and spins for a couple of feet, then let's loose and then only the passenger side continues to spin. What do you call this type of traction? Limited slip?

no thats open diff. Left tire didn't get as much power since the power was diverted to the tire with the least friction. In this case the Right.

Thanks blackdawg, I'll bug you and a few other guys on here for a while until I get the whole truck figured out. That could be an ongoing process for a while however :) Just don't let me get on your nerves. I do in fact look online like crazy, and only ask you guys if I in fact haven't found a good answer.

Well that's what we call a "one wheel peel". Sadly it's also from a measly 190HP V6 truck. The economy rental car I just rented last week would destroy this truck in a straight line. Just enjoy the truck for it is, and not for what it is not.

It's a bullet proof, tough, reliable, but very slow truck.
