So I attempted to access the burned out bulb illuminating the cigarette lighter bezel on my 2001 PreRunner by removing the ash tray assembly. In the process, the jostling around evidently killed the bulb to the ash tray, and I still couldn't get to the damn cigarette lighter bulb. Screw it

I hooked up a electronic thermometer with a back light and wired the backlight to the ash tray light. In the process, I blew the ashtray bulb and the light on the lighter bezel. the ashtray bulb was like a mini 194 bulb. The lighter bulb is more like the bulb you put in a mini mag light that has an amber skin on it. I pulled it out of the soket and broke it. I don't think it was supposed to come out. It would have a small 1 inch plastic connector on it. Anybody ever hear of that or see one or know where to get one?

Hey Buddy, How do I get to the back of the lighter behind the facing plate? I had something plugged in and the housing came out with the plug, and it looks like the wiring just came off, but I can't figure out how to get back there

    Almost 7 year thread revival.

Just found the correct part# 84999-10250. For the cigarette lighter bezel bulb.

Thought I'd help out the next guy.
