I have a 1995 Tacoma 4x4 2.7l. Burned out my clutch and need recommendations for a replacement. Should I get a performance clutch like a Centerforce or stick with Aisin which is the oem brand. I like the technology Centerforce has but is it all hype, I mean do I really need a performance clutch opposed to the oem clutch? My truck has a new engine(stock), new suspension (Bilseins and addaleaf), new brakes, new tires, new gears(4.10s), dang all I need is a new transmission and I'm good...lol. Ok, but really, can someone advise me?

    Thanks.

A lot of guys go with the marlin crawler clutch. It may be over kill but check em out, you may be sold on em?? I pry don't need anything other than an OEM clutch since its lasted 200k and still going. But its getting weak, when it goes I'm gunna get the crawler set up. I believe they have two different options for our trucks too.

I installed an Aisin clutch, pressure plate and an aftermarket flywheel in my 2000 Tacoma 3.4L 4x4 with a new release and throwout bearing. It's been great. Very light pedal pressure, good engagement, smooth and no noises. I bought a clutch kit off of eBay that came with everything I needed but I made sure it was Aisin parts. I considered the Marlin Crawler clutch but it was out of stock. I have no regrets.

Same with me. I also wanted the Marlin kit but they told me it was out of stock with no eta. So i ordered a Aisin kit, i got mine from Rockauto. Also no regrets.
