He said he idles the truck for hours at a time. I guess he should meter his hours instead of miles.

Hmmm. My guess the OP is reimbursed by miles not hours running?

Replace your positive crank case valve.
Clean out the breather hose and the intake.

If you aren't leaking oil, then it's getting burned off.

Clean out your oil system... put a bottle or two of seafoam (drain a little oil, so you aren't over filling it). Idle the truck for 10 minutes. Do not rev or drive it.

Drain and replace the filter. Use a good synthetic oil. (Let's not start another oil brand argument)

A gummed up oil system can cause problems. Also, after the oil change look/smell for burning oil in the exhaust. If you have an internal leak, add some leak stop.

Watch projectfarm on YouTube. Look at his leak stop tests.

Ok. I think I found the problem. Working to replace the front main seal now. Any recommendations on an aftermarket part for the crankshaft pulley, I think I need to replace it.

From what I see, it appears you need a new seal and harmonic balancer/pully and I think I'd go OEM. You need to clean the timing case up to see if it has any damage and I would do that before ordering any parts. Plug the seal shaft area up with a rag or something to minimize anything getting in there. Use an engine degreaser. It appears the rubber damper from the harmonic balance has been rubbing on the case as it was deteriorating. If it's just rub marks I'd let it go, but if it has worn away metal I'd be suspicious of its integrity.
    I hope this helps.

Update: I replaced the harmonic balancer with Dayco along with the front main seal. Will see how long Dayco's harmonic balance lasts. As of right now, it's 5000 miles and 200 hours of idling.

It’s back to normal now. I’m about to do an oil change soon then I’ll continue to keep my eyes on the oil level.

The 200 hours of idling alone would make me want to change the oil. That would be equivalent to 6,000 miles at 30 miles per hour.:D Plus 5,000 actual miles = 11,000 miles.
