Yup it's a owner of a shop here, it was a first gen 4runner that has 14" cut out of it, a Toyota 3.4, triple low setup, diamond reverse 9" axles hydro steering. It was truly badass as could be. He also has a triple locked turbo 80 series on 37s for camping.

Yup that 3.4 now has a bit of a knock but it's getting swapped soon.

Another 3.4 then the chassis is getting sold and he's building a 4 door first gen with a 6.0 and the diamond axles

We needed it on our trip, we had a JK (the white one) with a 6.0 and with 37s and chains it broke trail most of the day.

We finally got some snow at night so I was able to test out the BD Ambers. Lacking a vertical cutoff it isn't perfect however, it's far better than a white LED or even brights. It still shoots up and catches snow the in your sight line but not as bad as any other lights I've dealt with.
    Low beams.

High beams. You can see more snow being caught in above the hood.

A white LED spot style pod.

And finally the Amber Baja Designs lights.
It gives a great spread on the ground with minimal snow in the air being illuminated.

All lights are basically on the same level as the pods are mounted on the front bumper at basically headlight level. 0124201932a.jpg

Mini Photo Dump time for those who don't follow my instagram.

Found and parked next to a really big truck, with my tiny truck.
The army was in Taylor Park doing some winter survival training, while talking to the owners of the Taylor Marina they showed some photos of where they cut through the 2 feet of ice with chain saws so soldiers could ski into as practice for falling through the ice.
Speaking of Ice my girlfriend mentioned she never had never stood on a frozen lake so we had to while we were there.

Next was a quick trip to Crested Butte in yet another winter storm. Yes I usually do go to CB during a storm because I love driving in wicked storms.
    0206201801a.jpg
I also got some more photos of the truck in the dark.
    0206201804a.jpg 0206201804.jpg
And some more light photos because I really like the ambers.

I also did a bit of maintenance work, I had a valve cover leak that had slowly been getting worse over the past couple thousand miles. I wasn't even a drip just a bit of residue forming over time. Turns out all the valve cover bolts were finger tight, tightened them up and it stopped.
I also have had a header leak since I bought the truck and I knew damn well it was the 3RZ manifold crack. I have all the parts on order for the mini header swap using the late model 3rz tube header. For fun I decided to check on the crack and see how bad it was.
    0209201437.jpg 0209201437c.jpg
    Sure enough shes F****d.
But I have this beauty on the way.
    181931d1501885158-oem-mini-header-instal_55841e3d3b6844556668531dd88b7e21acf90775.jpg
Yup an OEM Tubular header, and all the parts needed to install it.
I also have a Flowmaster Cat on the way and a sneaky little surprise that I have never had on a vehicle before.
