Exactly— I’ve done some more sketchy obstacles but 4lo and rear lockers have done me just fine. :D

Some of the photos I finished editing from the recent Laguna Beach trip! RTT is definitely a game changer for comfort and convenience. Can’t wait to take my wife and baby on our first trip together with it!

My amber replacement lights came in, quick swap!

    9E709F6B-FA48-4EE0-862F-FA1B1F1B3A1A.jpg

Also installed the ditch light switch that I also ordered with the lenses. As you can see, I’ve been brainstorming what I want the rest of the switches to be— might change the “lower bumper light” to work/camp lights instead :p

    IMG_1657.jpg IMG_1659.jpg

Lastly, got these grille lights from from my secret santa at my wife’s family’s Christmas party so

Truck Looks Great! Where did you get the TRD Grille from?

Sweet. That's the one I found as well, but was hoping someone could verify it's price and quality.

Getting a ton of inspiration from this thread for my new LR

It’s great for the price. There were some minor imperfections on the edges but you can’t tell when it’s on the truck. Looks so good that one of my bosses had me install it on their Taco haha.

Thanks man, appreciate it! And nicee, are those fuel wheels? I definitely want to get wheels down the line and that dark bronze is a really nice accent!

Yea, they’re the Clash 6. Bought it with all the aftermarket stuff already on it (1” Spacer, 17” Fuel, and 285 Nitto RG). Pretty coincidental, cause I would have built it almost identical. Almost takes the fun out of the build, but who am I kidding. Just glad I avoided all that labor cost. Probably gonna bite the suspension bullet in the future.

True but I’d take it especially if you like the wheels— I think if I had been able to get the 2022 trd pro wheels on it I would never need to change up down the line; I absolutely love those wheels.

Suspension is a great upgrade if you go wheeling more frequently— the stock TRD off road shocks are good but I felt the difference once I bumped them up :D also lost the nose dive feeling when braking which I didn’t really prefer.

City just laid out fresh new asphalt on our alley— had to take a few shots of course.

    IMG_1794.jpg

Also, snagged a deal on a few packouts to use for my cooking/camping gear! Lot more durable than my old containers and always been a fan— got a handful of their tools.

Cleaned and swapped out my things from my old bin. Can fit a whole lot more in the packouts— now just deciding to put some packout mounts to hook my stove on top or get a smaller single burner stove that’ll fit inside the packout haha.

Bought an inexpensive hoist system to unload my RTT by myself— installed on my rafter because I’ve accumulated too many things in the garage haha. It was a success! Just need to get longer loading straps to secure it better.
Should be able to install my RTT by myself and also planning to switch to a taller bed rack before the next camping endeavor— Relentless Fab bed bars and Wheel Every Weekend RTT security mounts are for sale! :D

Just joined TW today with my LR 23 I just bought last week with 6k miles. Have been researching like crazy and found your ride that fits the build out I’ve been tinkering with. Glad to finally find pics that match. Was looking at bronze wheels with the toyos 285. Even pondering red accent wheels, but might be too much bling. Haven’t seen any so I’m considering the look. Thanks for the thread. It helps to visualize the process.

Much appreciated and congrats on the purchase! I definitely want to try dark bronze wheels, I think it accents the LR color really well from what I’ve seen on here and on the road!

Installed a tonneau cover I got for dirt cheap because it was missing parts and I’m pretty sure it was made for the 2nd gen Taco since the front brackets were too short.

@Shmellmopwho to the rescue with the fabrication of beefier brackets just by sending him dimensions and photos!
I also lucked out with the rear mounts using Leer striker plates that worked flawlessly with the cover’s rear latches.

This’ll stay on when I don’t have the bed bar/rack and tent on for camping

Digging your truck and your build progress - thanks so much for sharing.

I was curious where you got your tailgate T A C O M A letters from? I really like them - they seem a lot more substantial than some of the vinyl ones I've seen.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry I missed this! Don't think I got notified. I got it from Coop's Customs(1221 Laser)-- I can't find it on their website anymore though
