Picked up a Relentless Fab bed rack! Previous owner kept the rotopax bases on so I screwed my handles and tested it out. Mocked up the recovery boards on the other side as well. Can definitely fit more gear in the truck bed with these compared to the low profile bed bars— things like my baby’s stroller and other baby gear when we go camping hahah. :D

Got the rack on and it’s good I did— 3 gal rotopax doesn’t fit haha, it hits the bed rail cover. Gunna be looking to trade for a 2 gal!

Front views of the truck with the rack— really liking how it looks, thinking of keeping it this way as long as it’s not raining too much that I would rather have the tonneau cover for daily use haha.

Already trying to plan out for the next camping trip. Might grab another rifle case to match my recovery gear one for the roof rack to have more storage for things that don’t need to be in the cabin— wife and I usually fill up the back seats with bulk but there’ll be less room now with a baby car seat!

Looks killer! That’s why I eventually went with an ARE cap, I ran out of space for all our long trips haha.

Thanks! Yea I still wanna do some wheeling and I wanna keep the rooftop tent as low as possible so I didn’t want to get a full height rack or RTT over the shell. I love the security and weather protection of a shell but I have had a handful of moments that I needed an open bed to haul big and tall things that keep me away from that option haha.

That’s smart keeping the roof top tent low…I didn’t consider that since I don’t run one. I am also dreading the day that I have to haul something big and can’t fit it back there. We had to buy a new washer and dryer right before I got the shell installed and it was perfect timing lol

Haha, I recently moved last year when I still had a softopper. It was great picking up a fridge and other appliances without having to worry about if it would fit.

I bet. That bed rack will definitely give you the best of both worlds. I’m jelly of the g003’s though. I had them in 33’s a while back but got rid of them pretty quickly because I panicked about the on road performance loss lol. I think about giving them another try pretty often.

Front passenger window randomly fell out of place and did not want to go back up today. Opened up the panel to find a bolt that I thought was the culprit but it still won’t go up and down smoothly and pops out alignment. Have to take it to Toyota this week to get it fixed

On a brighter note, installed these All Top recovery board mounts from Amazon onto the bed rack! Love that I can add a lock to it; can’t have nice things— all my exterior parts have security fasteners or locks now haha.

I don’t think it looks bad with the badges at all, but I think it looks really good like without the badges. I am partial to the clean look :D

I saw a black Tacoma rolling around without badges the other day and it was suuuper clean; been thinking about doing mine ever since then. Funny you posted about it too. I took my SR5 emblems off like the week I bought the truck lol

Agreed haha. I think I'm a bit crazy with aesthetics and I don't ever want it to look too busy so I hop around different ideas here and there-- even future mods get decided by if I feel it'll look too much haha.

Same here! That’s why I don’t have any armor or anything like that, well the keeping it clean aspect plus trying to keep the weight down.

I do want to add armor eventually but was thinking about the C4 Rock Runner bumpers since they were more minimal and had the highest clearance-- not that I ever plan on rock crawling in the near future though, just think they look nice haha.

Called Toyota a moment ago and they said they're just waiting on the part to get delivered and they'll finish the repair today. They said they got it signed off to get repaired under warranty "this time" hahah so I'm a happy camper :D
