I have a 2006 Double Cab 4x4 SR5 and I was told that my bushings are bad. But I was told that the whole arm has to be replaced in order to fix the problem which will cost almost $700. :( Does this seem right? Can just the bushing be repaired without the whole arm? Thanks!

Upper or lower? The bushings can be replaced in the lower, but it can be a big pain in the ass. I don't know if they can be replaced in the uppers. You can also buy aftermarket replacement arms that are much cheaper than OEM.

I got some dorman lowers that I will put on when I change out the alignment hardware. They were about 235 for both. Came with ball joints and bushings installed.

Yes you can replace just the bushing in the Lower Control Arm...

Its much easier to replace the whole arm, it is pre loaded with new bushings and Ball Joint.

    Check out the build
I just had the same thing happen so I got Dirt Kings. I know they aren't cheap, but they have delrin bushings and a uni ball instead of the ball joint.

If you are trying to save some cash, you can replace just the bushings.
