That's a good point, I'll try and adjust that, I've already made a few adjustments suggested above, but I'm "at work" so it's hard to post updates... While I stand here and type all of this... Watching a bandsaw cut steel... I swear I'm working right now

I think these are killer. The only change I'd offer up is to remove the "Facebook" "call/text" before each contact type.

    Good luck!

You could try swapping around the scissors and the comb on the dog head silhouette, the pointed edge of the scissors gives a menacing connotation. Also someone mentioned earlier that the font for the word Toni's reads a little funny and looks like it says Tom's. The colors are great, the silhouette works well with the image on the reverse side. Try not to clutter the number of font styles to more than three different ones. Two is even better. Using the same font in different sizes or making it italics can also give a degree of variety without making it to busy with font changes.

Just signed up to a website called fiverr. Placed an order for $20 to get a logo designed. If nothing else that will give me an idea but maybe I'll be surprised and get a decent logo out of it. Should have something by tomorrow to show you guys

Update... The logo I had designed.... Was not what I was expecting... I'll just got ahead and post them

    Fiverr.jpg Fiverr.jpg

Something tells me this person doesn't know what a husky or wolf is. I don't mean to bash the guy but when you pay for something and you're allowed modifications to the end result and you say "could you remove the dog and replace with something more masculine - a wolf/husky" and he literally sent me same thing from before. Plus it was all in grey. (I don't have the original ones he sent me anymore)

So I've been messing around with logo designs... And getting some logos made by someone on fiverr (definitely a learning experience for me)

What do you guys think about these?

Also, we got the cards in the mail on Friday. There are some things we'll still be changing on the next run/when we run out. But overall I'm happy with this orderIMG_20170217_181905.jpg

Do dog groomers have a logo? I understand it in terms of manufacturing brands, but I can't even think of any dog groomers or even big-box haircutting chains that I have a logo... ie Sports clips, cost cutters etc. Where or how are you intending to use this logo?

That's a very good question. Honestly never really occurred to me that it may or may not be the norm for our business. But... To answer the question of where we intend to use this logo:

I just got in touch with another friend who does business consulting (he has a small dog) who offered to build our website and host it on his servers in exchange for free grooming (small dog - totally worth it) he encouraged us to get an idea together for a business logo for both the website itself, the Facebook business page "profile picture" and/or "cover photo" as well as the Instagram profile photo.

Based on other small businesses that deal with pet merchandise, they all have logos as well.

Plus this friend just bought a CNC engraving machine and built a website and company around dog tags personally engraved with owner information and whatnot. Aiming for 2 day delivery and focused on being a service offered to dog groomers (basically we inform clients of the available personalized dog tags and sell them for $10 or whatever, and we only pay $3 to get them made)

Nice thing about this is were not footing the bill for a $5000 machine that already exists at big box stores

I think the two biggest things your logo should do is 1. grab someone's attention and B, convey your message. So my idea was something similar to the photo i made above, with "Toni's K9 Care" in a font that matches in some way to the design.. catchy, simple and to the point.

I went through this same process with my business cards.

Keep in mind LESS IS MORE; a busy card with designs all over it will not transcend well.

You're dead on the money with social media links, always have those readily available, that's how people will "check her work" before they show up. Pets are family, you wouldn't drop your child off at some random haircut place without vetting it first.

"#shedhappens" it's witty and it made me laugh, (I'm a dog owner, who uses a groomer, so I get it).

I like this! (As you can clearly see by the fact that I hit like)
You're spot on with keeping things simple design wise to grab people's attention. Last night I had some friends suggest we scrap the logo ideas we currently have and just roll with the wolf on the back of the card as our logo. My wife even said she doesn't want to be driving the truck with magnetic advertising cards on the sides and back that look too feminine, so sticking with what the business card design language is makes more sense for her.

Something I didn't even think about was the magnetic business card things for the truck. (Magnetic because it's our only vehicle and I don't want to go full body wrap on something we use for camping and wheeling) only downside with that is the card has to have all the information on one side... So now we have to rearrange the business card to work as a magnetic advertising sticker thing.
