So my right side fog light bulb busted for some reason. The glass shell part "blew up" and left the filament and base structure in tact. Obviously after noticing glass in the bottom of my fog assembly when cleaning the truck the other day I decided to go ahead and replace both with new bulbs.

My question is this. Assuming from the rupture, there now exists some white powder/dust type (probably mercury) stuff which has coated the inside of the assembly and reflector. Is there a way to clean the inside using water (don't see any electric parts that can be damaged while I have the whole assembly removed. Looks like I could just fill it with a little water, shoosh around and empty and it would remove the residual dusting. ?? I'll be drying it afterward to rid it of any excess moisture.

    Any ideas or thoughts??
