I love the outdoors but man I hate ticks, then add in they can make you allergic to meat?! Fuck that noise.

Yeah that has to o with lime disease, which is a whole different animal because it presents itself in so many manifestations. You can treat your clothes and tents with permetherin and it'll keep them away.

Lyme is different, and it's spread by deer ticks, which might be what was pictured, the one that causes allergies to red meat is the lone star, which were the ones that got me. It's really rare from what I've heard, it just adds to my hatred for ticks. If I know I'm gonna be in ticks I'll spray something in my clothes, but up there we were in one of the fields with like inch high grass where I got them all, not one in the woods though.

You do realize that ticks are found on grasses and low lying plants and get onto you and other animals when you brush up against them. They don't fall out of trees like the old wives tail I was told as a kid. If I said I wouldn't go to places ever again because of the amount of ticks I wouldn't go anywhere fun again.

Never gotten one from short grass, not their habitat, except busted knuckle, I know very well how they move. I've camped, hiked, backpacked etc all over and this is the only place I say I won't go. Really I would, I'd just use bug spray which I hate.

I had a few of those as well. I hate them because I have really bad reactions to them like allergic. Had to take some Benadryl for a few days when I got home. Won't stop me from going again. Preferably when it's dryer or with lockers and armor but fun none the less. Liked the way they had the place laid out and the trails.

I like the hill climbs too. What are you thinking trail rig? More crawler style?

They might've changed it up a bit, but when I was there it seemed mostly for razors, wasn't worth the drive.

Razors flock there during events. The park is definitely catered to buggies

You do realize it was mainly opened for rock bouncing events?
