Button on rear view mirror?

    I know I could probably easily look it up in my owners book but I figured why not ask TW. What does this button do on my rear view mirror? Like the title says it's probably a stupid question.

    When you turn off the auto dim it will automatically turn back on after shut down and re-start.

    Lift Kit, Mud Tires, Running Boards, Grille Light Bar, Roof Rack
    Didn’t see the answer anywhere else so thought I might add onto this question, the button on that mirror is supposed to bring up the options menu to change the display, when holding the button down like the manual says nothing happens. Took it to Toyota and they had no idea what to do other than spend money for a new mirror... really don’t want to do that, anyone have this problem before and been able to fix without replacing?
