Ok so I had this idea and I wanted others input. Do you.think it would a smart idea to purchase an iPad, or even a kindle, and buy all my school books on them? We all know.books are priced way too high and when they buy your books back, if they even do, your lucky to make a quarter of that amount back. Let me know what you think.

Edit: maybe I should work on my spelling

I've been contemplating this same thing, I already have an iPad, so it would be nice. And a whole lot easier to carry around.

Never thought about that but it seems like a good idea. But can you highlight text on them?

I wouldnt. Just got done with my degree.

But I majored in Mathematics/CS, and a digital textbook just seems absurd for math. I guess if you are just reading crap and regurgitating it to the professor an iPad book would be fine.

    My $.02.

I've done it the last couple of semesters and I like it. Except I did it through courses Smart on my laptop.

Side note: what book service are you going to use?

I use an iPad and have few reference books on it, but I am kind of old school; I like to have real book that I can flip through. Usually when I am looking for something I might remember that it is for instance on the bottom right of a page so I can flip through the pages to find it. If the electronic text books are searchable then you can search for items, but if it is PDF style then I would prefer real paper books.

I haven't even looked into book services yet. Trying to get opinions first.

Just downloaded an app called kno. It's a text book app. I haven't downloaded a school book yet but it seems legit. I'm going to research on the iPad forums to see if it's gotten good reviews.
