    "Nothing Major"
Whats up guys. I'm new to this forum and still pretty new to the tacoma life as well. I have been a Jeep guy most of my life but that just wasn't working out for me anymore. Needed a truck bed, a more comfortable ride, and decent gas mileage. Anyways, to the point of my thread. My 2010 TRD Sport is completely stock as of now but I'm wanting to give myself a little more ground clearance and a better appearance. I'm stuck between using 5100s to level the truck and going all in with a 3" OME lift. I don't do any hardcore wheeling and don't really plan to either but I'd like the truck to be somewhat capable. For the most part my truck will be used for camping, fishing, hunting, exploring, I guess you could call it a mild overland build. In the beginning everyone who asked "What are you gonna do to the truck?" got the "Nothing major, maybe a leveling kit if that" response. So thats where the truck got the name Major "Nothing Major". Thanks for your help and suggestions. I'm all ears!

After putting OME stuff on my buddies 4 runner, and running OME monotube shocks on the rear of my truck and comparing them to the 5100s on the front of my truck, stick with tbe bilstiens. Their quality is much better.

That stated, if i had to do a similar lift (~2in all around on my truck) I would NOT go with 5100's but instead id go with the 6112's in the front and probably 5160's in the rear (or 5100's). The 5100's ride on my truck is absolutely great, no complaints, but for not a while lot more the 6112's are going to be even better, way better than OME stuff, and they come with coils.

Good lord, what do Jeeps get for MPG if you think the Tacoma has decent gas mileage? :D

Here is my setup, FOX UP 2.0 and SPC. It has been a good setup for me and not too hard on the pocket book.

    Kings and long travel.

You'll cry for a while though. Until you hit that bump at 50mph and send it. Then it'll be all smiles. :drunk:

skip all that, get some total chaose UCA ( upper control arms) some fox shocks. tryto keep the tire size below 33 inches so u dont eat up too much more gas. dont waste your time doing a leveling kit or someshit that will ruin your new smoother ride.

I bought OME as a budget choice for off-road.

Wish I spent more. I like to off-road. I like to go fast. OME is stiff.

    Want Kings/Fox/Icon/ADS instead.
