If you want a small pickup, Tacoma is probably the best. Just traded a Ranger for my 08-used. The taco is smoother riding, sedan quiet and very peppy.

You'll pay almost as much for a small pickup as a full size. I like the better gas mileage and maneuverability of the 3/4 size Taco.

Recalls are not uncommon for any make. Only reason I might look elsewhere is if your local Toyota dealer rubs you the wrong way.

Toyota will most likely come out with huge rebate incentives and improved factory warranty (10 year /100K).. I would wait to buy new until after beginning of March.

With his post count and the context of each post that i have seen to his 'credit', he would have to qualify as 'Agenda boy', at the very least.

There are some to be had, but the asking price for a recent used one is surprisingly close to the cost of a new one. I just took delivery of my 2010 a week ago. It's good to see how well they seem to hold their value. :)

True that! I was looking at a used 08 with 31,000 miles and they still wanted 25,000. I figured I might as well pony up the extra 3 grand and get a new one.

I just bought a 2010 Tacoma Pre-Runner. Love it. Had my last Tacoma Truck for 13 years since 1997. And before that, in 1986 I bought a brand new Toyoya Light Duty Pickup and never once did either vehicle require any sort of repair whatsoever other than routine oil changes and tire rotations. That's why you buy a Toyota. In a word... Reliability. And that's why I buy (and will always buy) a Toyota.

Thats right buddy Toyota will never fail us. They are fun to drive, last forever and never break. Factory recalls happen to every manufacture.
My uncles 07 GMC duramax has been in the shop over 10 times for recalls and warranty repairs.

Hmmm.... That could be good or bad. I'm skeptical about 1st production year vehicles myself. Plus, after seeing the A-Bat concept, I'm kinda worried about how it will look. I kinda hope to upgrade to the 4x4 BEFORE the 3rd gens come out.

there are 0 recalls on my truck...but even if there was one at least they will fix it for free and then there would be no more issues so therefore no problem
