Looks really good. RIP all of us who have inspection/registration stickers there. Don't look like it will work. Lol

I hope we get more than 1 of the reflective film, just in case if we ever have to replace our windshield it would be convenient.

Speaking of reflective films, are they necessary for day time HUD or could we still see some reflected images? I'm asking because, I'd rather not use/stick my reflective film on my windshield if don't have to.

I don't know. I don't have any experience with HUD or reflective film.

Well you will probably only get one but it won’t be hard to get more if need be  That probably can be something I add to my website.

I will be posting a video soon on my channel and probably will post it here but let me tell you, the video doesn’t do it any justice nor does the pictures. I’m not really sure how to show how clear the reflective film actually makes it look. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is so far. It is so clear. Also, the brightness adjusts on its own.

I finally received the Instructions tonight and the first thing I did was adjust the MPH. That will be the video I upload as I listen to Z100 haha on my way home. Not sure if I will have the sound on or not. Originally, my MPH were off by 3 most the time. Now it’s right on. I love the fact that you can easily adjust the speed. That alone is amazing and so worth it.

Here is my very first video w/o Reflective Film. This shows prior to MPH being altered so it is off on Speedometer. You get to see the RPMs are right on and you can see how the Blinker Signal Function Works.

I have another plan for you plus my vendor may have something up his sleeve for adjusting the display so just hold on. It goes along with the 2nd Gen Tacoma Request for their Heads Up Display @boogie3478

Is that what is needed? Do you have a pic of something you like? I’m actually about to send a shipment to my vendor probably at the end of this week so tell me now. I mean I’m already missing half my truck. What’s a couple more panels. Right :notsure: I’ll get it done. I can make any molds we want as long as you guys think they will sell because I’m sure they will not be cheap. However, if they are smaller molds they shouldn’t be too bad.

Have faith my man. Have faith. Use some water and just slowly scrape it out while moving the film to center the display within the film. That’s literally all I did the whole time until it stuck to the windshield. I thought for the longest time I used too much water and screwed it’s up myself, but I didn’t. You just keep scraping and evenly it sticks. You don’t have to scrap hard. You just push all the water out from underneath while keeping it as straight as you can and centered. If I can do it, so can all of you.

So calibration is built in? Will that calibrate it just for the HUD or for the speedometer as well for mileage and cruise?

I shared the video which only shows so much just like the pictures I’m showing. It wasn’t horrible but there definitely is a difference of clarity with the film. However, if you are against using it, you could get by without it and be fine.

It is just for the HUD as the Display doesn’t have any control over our gauge itself unfortunately. It is built into the HUD as one of the Functions.

    Speed Correction

If it is found that the speed of the vehicle and the speed of the instrument panel are inconsistent, you can enter the speed correction to correct it. There are two ways to enter the speed correction:
    1. In the vehicle starting state, the vehicle speed is 0, and under the condition of no fault code, long press the 183562C2-6C45-458D-82E5-ACCD3BF65AC1.jpg button to enter the speed correction.
    2. The speed of the vehicle is greater than 0, long press 183562C2-6C45-458D-82E5-ACCD3BF65AC1.jpg can also enter the speed correction; At this time, the “KM/H” unit flashes and is adjusted by 06888798-3257-4E64-AAB3-465EED22AA41.jpg and 183562C2-6C45-458D-82E5-ACCD3BF65AC1.jpg. When the speed is 100KM/H, how many times the difference is made, click 98A1E84B-7798-4DEA-9E45-7C61465B405E.jpg to save.
Remark: When the speed is 50KM/H, how many yards are different, you need to press twice.
Such as: The instrument panel displays 50KM/H, and the product display 48KM/H, you need to press the + button 4 times.

When I did my adjustment, mine took 4 presses of the 06888798-3257-4E64-AAB3-465EED22AA41.jpg and it was right on. Now, my truck has a 6” BDS Suspension System, with 35” Tires, 4.88s, and I have OVTune on my truck even though I currently am running it stock without the Tune flashed. I need to flash it. I’ve been saying that for a long time. Maybe I’ll do that over the Holiday Break finally. I need to get updated on the OVT software and where everything is atm tho because I’m sure I’m outdated now.

Great video, thanks for posting. After watching both videos several times I wondering if the display dims a little for nigh time driving?
    Thanks

Since youve blocked the factory tweeter, they need a new location for a tweeter. Mine is just drilled into the stock panel, but it would be nice to have one thats angled to the driver.

Are they the static type of film or permanent type like tint film? In other words, can they be removed and reapplied if crooked or have bubbles under the film?
