Yes I will when the time comes and I will be giving the shipping quotes when it gets closer to that time. Right now you can pay for just the item and then you can pay the shipping at time of shipment.

 

UPDATE:

Due to the flu all workers will be back to work on Feb 9th I have been informed. Just a little update on timeframe for my vendors vacation.

Also, I just got back from the East Coast that I got called out on abruptly that I had to attend to. Since I have been back I have made: 50 3rd Gen Tacoma Tailgate Lock Kits, 50 3rd Gen Tundra Tailgate Lock Kits, and 50 2nd Gen Tundra Tailgate Lock Kits to stock up so I’m not scrambling with those. I also listed 20 Red TRD Start/Stop Push Buttons on the website for sale. Trying to get some stock built up so I can focus on some mirror orders and outlet orders. As well as updating the grab handles and the HUD order lists. I would also like to work a little on the website and get more items on there.

 

Any news on the huds?

 

Any chance of getting it to match the OEM color ? I’m sure this was posted somewhere in the thread. Just couldn’t find it.

Katie should confirm, but I think her manufacturer makes OEM parts for Toyota, so the expectation is that it will be near identical to the existing panel. For the actual projection unit, that’s an interesting question.

 

UPDATE:

My vendor owns Toyota of China so this Heads Up Display will in fact be an OEM Part that matches identical to our dash and it will be a Toyota OEM made by Toyota of China.

Also, I just got word that my vendors have been informed that they should be getting back to work soon. They have not been given a date yet but that is some news rather than no news.

 

This looks awesome - I'd order one in a heartbeat.....but unfortunately the placement is right where the Commonwealth of PA puts its inspection stickers and truck classification sticker. Every year they scrape off the old one and put on new. I can't put the film screen over the stickers. Ugh. If it was on the other side it would be perfect. I have a Garmin HUD that sits on the right side. I'm bummed.

Here's a picture to show where they put the inspection stickers on here in PA - best as I can tell the display will overlap.

 

I don’t know, for some reason I was thinking you could probably play with your stickers a little bit and still have them in that location just a little lower unless you have to have them in a specifically measured area on the Windshield. It kind of looks to me that you’d make it and those would be just under it.

However, after I get this one produced. I do have plans to get something made for the 2nd Gen Tacoma’s. I have been asked to make something for them and sense they do not have a place in their dash for an in-dash HUD, they will need something to go on top of their dash @boogie3478 It will be something similar to this

I think the image projection will probably be above the stickers - assuming they are applied as far down as possible. The issue will be the projection film - every year they replace the stickers and use a razor blade to eel them - I don't think the film will survive from year to year.

Hopefully I'm wrong. Would really love to have one of these in the new truck. Could you possible give me the dimensions of the film? Maybe I can measure the space on my windshield and the inspection stickers and see how they match up.

 

Let’s hope the films are cling stick. And of course $0.99 each.

 

Could you use a small plexi type glass with 2 small suction type cups and when need new inspection stickers remove and the reapply? The police will only need to see the back to see the vin number, and inspection station number if needed.

 

@KTJO 4x4 will this work in the 5th gen 4runner?

 

Is the sticker necessary or just "nice to have"? My wife used to have a Grand Prix GT and it had a HUD that just reflected off the windshield without any special film or anything. Just wonder how necessary that even is?

Well you are the one that applies the film. You can make sure that the film is out of the way. To they apply your stickers for you? That’s kind of weird that they don’t just give them to you to put on your vehicle yourself.
