BUYER BEWARE: 3rd Gen Tacoma Heads-Up Display (HUD)

The one thing I like about the Hudway Drive,
Is that almost any information can be projected unto the screen.
There is also side camera accessories that gets projected when signaling.
Turn by turn Navigation and GPS is the biggest feature that I am looking forward to.
Dead center is also a plus.

I would love the flush OEM like HUD, but now I have just been wanting more and more distractions in my field of view lol.

So our dash seems to be a lot more parallel to the windshield. What will that do for distortion? Will it be able to throw a display up that is full readable? Cannot wait to see it in a taco

That is a good point on the Toyota Logo. We aren’t actually using the Toyota Logo. If you look at the Camry Panel you can see the logo. That is what the Tacoma would look like instead of it saying HUD.





As for scrolling through all the features that the display offers...yes but I do not have a video at this time to show. I will get one to show this or when I get the sample and install it I will be making demo videos for all of this.

 

I have personally seen it However, I was not wearing my sunglasses at the time. I can do this when I get it sent to me and let you know on this one.

Yeah. I’m thinking the price is pretty fair because even the one that @Rainoffire purchased is $199 which is this one. They are just running a special right now because of their anniversary for 300 units.

 

There shouldn’t be any bugs when it gets released. That’s why I went down to SEMA so that they could have my truck right there. That is also why they are taking this whole week in their factory testing it right now. Then they are also sending it to me to test most likely for a week as well or however long they want me to test it. If ANYTHING pops up during this time, it will be addressed prior to release. However, once these have been released, if anything should happen just like with any other device, it will be covered and replaced.

Speaking of the side cameras, I finally finished my harness for all of my cameras with work being in Tax Season and it being so crazy busy. Now things will finally start to calm down and I am going to get this installed and test it out. Then have my vendor make it. Mine will be displayed on my Big Screen of the HeadUnit
